MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MOU)

BETWEEN

TABANGOHAY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

AND

PARENT – TEACHER ASSOCIATION

OFFICERS
This Memorandum of Understanding establishes a partnership between
Tabangohay Elementary School and the PTA Officers for School Year 2019 -
2020.

MISSION

To strengthen partnership to promote the welfare of the learners by providing a

conducive place for learning.

Tabangohay Elementary School adheres to the mandate of the Department of

Education to protect and promote learners right in all aspect of his well-being.
The right to quality, fairness, inclusive and complete basic education.

It is the duty of the department through its teachers and school heads that the
children are care-free in class activities, unbiased, and gender-sensitive in the
learning space he/she belong.

Together, the Parties enter into this Memorandum of Understanding to

mutually promote children’s rights and responsibilities through an
environment that is motivating to learn. Accordingly, Tabangohay Elementary
School and Parent-Teacher Association, operating under this MOU agree as
follows:

PURPOSE AND SCOPE

Tabangohay Elementary School and Parent-Teacher Association - describe the

intended results or effects that the organizations hope to achieve, and the
area(s) that the specific activities will cover:

1. Tabagohay ES and PTA collaborated to help the school personnel in

improving its quality education to develop competitive yet responsible
learners.

2. Assist the school personnel in creating projects for the improvement of

the physical facilities that is vital to learning.
3. Help raise funds to provide instructional aides to improve teachers’
capability in the teaching and learning process.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Each party will appoint a person to serve the official contact and coordinate the
activities of the school in carrying out this MOU. The initial contacts of the
organization are:

The organizations agree to the following tasks for this MOU:

Tabangohay Elementary School through the School Head will:

 The main architect of the programs and projects of the school

 Coordinate with the teachers and the school organizations of the planned
programs and projects
 Follow through the progress of the programs using M and E tool
contextualized by both parties.
Parent-Teacher Organization Officers through its PTA President will:

 Attended regular meetings on the progress of the program

 Coordinate with the school administrator on the proposed programs
and/or projects.
 Can object, suggest, amend, or ratify the programs and projects
proposed by the school head.
 Follow through the progress of the programs using M and E tool
contextualized by both parties.

TERMS OF UNDERSTANDING
The term of this MOU is for a period of insert length of MOU, usually 1-3 years
from the effective date of this agreement and may be extended upon written
mutual agreement. It shall be reviewed at least insert how often, usually
annually to ensure that it is fulfilling its purpose and to make any necessary
revisions. Either organization may terminate this MOU upon thirty (30) days
written notice without penalties or liabilities.
AUTHORIZATION
The signing of this MOU is not a formal undertaking. It implies that the
signatories will strive to reach, to the best of their ability, the objectives stated
in the MOU. On behalf of the organization I represent, I wish to sign this MOU
and contribute to its further development.
