PHIL. HISTORY
MIDTERM
PROJECT
WEIGHT OF WORDS
In an era where human rights
are questioned and seen more as
an inconvenience, all the more
has it become important to
reflect on what defines our
humanity. Various professionals
from the visual arts and graphic
design industry come together
to pin down these concepts one
letter at a time.
SILENT WITNESSES

For this project, we read dozens of

affidavits by survivors of atrocities
committed by the Marcos regime and
then distilled ten of them into three-
sentence stories. The experience was
traumatic and jarring, but the result
was, to us, surprisingly meditative and
timely.

Memory is an underrated but extremely

important thing. We remember and learn
from the past because we want our
children to lead better lives than us.

nagmadali silang umalis.

Kinabukasan, narinig ni Benok na nawawala ang

anak ng mekaniko. Simula noon, gabi-gabi, may
kumakatok. Gabi-gabi, may nawawala.
