Lipase

1. Lipase is an enzyme that the body uses to break down fats in food and absorb them in the
intestines. Lipase maybe produced in the pancreas, mouth, and stomach. And most of the
people produce sufficient pancreatic lipase, but people with cystic fibrosis, Crohn's disease, and
celiac disease may not produce enough lipase to obtain the nutrition they require from food.
