Classroom Management

1. What motivated you to choose to complete this particular module?

I think that classroom management is one of the most important things that all teachers must be
familiar with. And, even if we have class for this topic, I wanted to go deeper and deeper in classroom
management. Because I have not experienced teaching in the classroom. And I think that this module
will help me to learn the most important parts of classroom management.

2. What was the main takeaway for you from this module?

Teachers must know what is going on in the classroom. Every single error or disorder must be known
by teacher. Teachers are the eyes, noses, hands of the classroom. However, teachers also must be
cooperative with the learners. Traditional teachers generally control everything in the class. But
modern teachers work with students and manage to classroom accordingly.

3. How do you plan to incorporate your new knowledge and understandings to your current
teaching practice?

As I mentioned before, I have not taught anything in the classroom. The knowledge that I gained from
the module will improve my classroom management. For example, I will work with my students to
decide classroom rules.

Effective Feedback

1. What motivated you to choose to complete this particular module?

During our microteaching presentations, I realized that we have a problem on giving feedback. We
either do not know what feedback is or how feedback is given. That has motivated me to choose
effective feedback module.

2. What was the main takeaway for you from this module?

I realized that one of the most important things in giving feedback is attitude toward our students.
While giving feedback, some teachers offend their students. And even, they humiliate them in the
classroom in front of their friends. Giving feedback must be guidance to the students not a humiliation.

3. How do you plan to incorporate your new knowledge and understandings to your current
teaching practice?

I gave feedback to my friends’ assignments before. But I gave importance only to my friends’
mistakes. I did not guide them to correct. I realized that just finding the wrong thing is not enough.
Students need to be led to correct answer by true correction.
