It is morally justified to only bring the best and brightest to space at the expense who will be left on

earth.

These spaceships can only carry a few people relative to earth’s population.

 If the spaceships can only carry a few people then it can only carry a limited number of resources and
we all know with the current technology, the chance of building colonies on the space is low. To
increase the chances then we need to pick the people that we know can do it.

The people will be carried to space will be the best and the brightest.

The most skilled, accomplished, intelligent, and quick thinking people available.

 According to the dictionary, the best and the brightest are those the most skilled, accomplished,
intelligent, and quick-thinking people available. It is natural that the government and we should
choose them since there are the most skilled in their crafts, intelligent and quick thinking in situations.
And with their respective skills, they could give help each other survive and make use or make
technology that could help build another human colony.

The launching of these spaceships will also fast-forward the end of the earth’s lifecycle.

 Instead of waiting for our impending doom, why not give all our best to keep the humankind alive?
And the end justify the means, and if bringing the brightest and the best people on earth would
guarantee that human kind would continue, it is morally justified.
