Guiding Questions
1. Statistic is the science that deals with the collection, classification, analysis and interpretation of
numerical facts or data, and that, by use of mathematical theories of probability, imposes order and
regularity on aggregates of more or less disparate elements.
2. because it is important and a must in any form of research work and without it, the research itself as a
whole, is hanging and illusive.
3. Mean, Median, Mode
4. Mean, mode and median are popular quantitative research methods. Mean implies average and it is the
sum of a set of data divided by the number of data. Mean can prove to be an effective tool when
comparing different sets of data; however this method might be disadvantaged by the impact of extreme
values. Mode is the value that appears the most. Median is the middle value when the data is arranged in
numerical order. It is another effective tool to compare different sets of data.
5. Mean, median, mode is for the objective measure of opinion, or subjective data, and provide a basis for
comparison.

Performance Task:
By organizing and describing numerical data gathered collecting, organizing data and
arriving at the result the importance of statistics is you will know the average amount of data use and the
number of data that occurs most often, and also to figure out what the middle of a set of data is.
