Research Methodology

Research Design

This study entitled “Business Strategy of Unorganized Retailing of Grocery Stores in Zaragoza: A

Basis for Strategic Business Plan” will be using the descriptive-correlational method of research.

Research Locale

This study is conducted at Zaragoza, Nueva Ecija. Zaragoza, officially the Municipality of

Zaragoza, is a 3rd class municipality in the province of Nueva Ecija, Philippines. The town's public

market is also the main center of commerce for a number of barangays in the neighbouring towns. Status

of economic performance boost rapidly due to commercialization and services. More investors and

businesses opened that provide their constituent an opportunity to generate jobs. This research and study

is limited only to business owners of Zaragoza, Nueva Ecija who are engaged or interested in increasing

their sales. The nature of study used is a simple interview with business owners using a questionnaire.

Sampling Procedure

In this study where the unit of analysis is the grocery owners, the researchers obtain a complete list

of every grocery owners in the target population to achieve sampling purposive.

Research Instrument

This study entitled “Business Strategy of Unorganized Retailing of Grocery Stores in Zaragoza: A

Basis for Strategic Business Plan” utilized a questionnaire concepted by the researchers.
Data Gathering Procedure

Before conducting the study, the researchers will be presenting a letter to the research teacher for

approval and correction. The letter will be submitted to the School Principal asking permission to allow

them to conduct a research study using business owners in Zaragoza, Nueva Ecija as respondents. After

the approval, the researchers will looked for the respondents randomly.

Data Gathering Analysis

The researchers will use different statistical tools or techniques for each SOP to verify the

reliability and authenticity of the responses to each questionnaire.

For the initial analysis, the researchers will first use results by frequency or percentage. It will be

carried out to assess the significance of the effectiveness of using strategic business plan for business

strategy of unorganized retailing of grocery stores in Zaragoza, Nueva Ecija in order to broaden the

variety of resources sought for business purpose.
