Title: Types of Strategies in Business Management by Selected Food

Establishment Owners toward Profitability in Naga City

This study was conceptualized to determine the significant relationship

between the types of strategies in business management as well as the selected

food establishment owners’ profitability.

The researchers utilized correlational method, random sampling and

structured survey questionnaire to gather data needed for the study. The study

was conducted with 30 owners/managers as the respondent.

Findings revealed that there was a connection between respondents’

demographic profile and strategic performance in business management towards

profitability. It was evident that there were more female respondents than male,

the owners or managers were young and competitive in food industry and ages

from 31-36 where it implies that women were more flexible than men in doing

tasks and activities in workplace. Whereas, most of the respondents have least

number of years (0-3 years) in operating the business as well as most of the food

establishments perceived their businesses as moderately profitable thus, and

they cannot execute or implement their strategies in business management

quickly, rapidly, and immediately since most of the respondents were college

graduates. The statistical treatment and computation strongly support that there

vi
was no significant linear relationship between performing strategies in business

management and business profitability since experience counts.

Research limitation were the presence of the absence of owners or

managers, interruptions of classes, the location of food establishment, operating

hours of establishment and school accessibility.

Key words: Business Establishment, Business Management, Profitability and

Strategies
