FULL DAY SCHOOL SYSTEM IN INDONESIA

In the time when Indonesia’s educational ranking still low Ministers of Educational Indonesia
has a plan to improve the quality of education in the eyes of the world. Ministers of educational
Indonesia will plan to apply the policy of full day school. However , the policy has positive and negative
impacts.

First, the school which apply the full day school system will improve the quality of education.
The student will have long time to study in school. The student will study all day in school start from 8
am until 5 pm it’s a good for improve their knowledge. The student can develop their skill in school. For
example, the school who have applied the full day school there are must have a time to fulfill the long
time with do some activities like extracurricular, take pray and clean up classroom. The character the
student will be built by it self. After the student develop their skill it is automatically help the student get
their characteristic. The student get more experiences in school. Full day school is taken much student
time in school for example student have to come to school at 8 am until 5 pm , they have more time for
studied at school to get experience by extracurricular, socialization with stuff there. The student can
escape from negative things. Such as absent without leave , bully , smoking or drug. Therefore the student
would avoid from negative things if they focus study in school, develop their skill and have positive
experience in school. The student will be able to manage the schedule well. For example, the student who
has know how many schedules they have such as for study at school , do homework and extracurricular.

Second, the schools which apply the full day school system will decrease the humanity student.
The student will get tired. After the student study all day in school from morning until noon that give bad
impact for student , because it’s the student will be exhausted. The student will lost their time as
children/teenager. For example, after the student learned at school and back the return, they will go rest
because the solid make them tired lost time as the children were still loved playing. The student will lost
their friend in their neighborhood. The student more spend time at school and often playing with friends
in school of on in the neighborhood of their shelter.

Third, the student will lost their childhood experience. For example, after study all day and have
no time to play or socialized with their friend and neighborhood . it’s automatically they will lose chance
to have good experience. The student will be nervous with social. For example, if they lost good
childhood , experience, they didn’t have a friend it causes the student will nervous with social or can be
worst. The student just study and study for long time and be social anti. The student will be stress out.
Another negative impact from full day school are made the student stress out. It caused by student should
study any time.
 As the result of this issue, Ministers of Educational has a good plan to improve the quality of
educational through policy system full day school while some people members of the system full day
school doesn’t fit used in Indonesia.
