    ASSIGNMENT

    THE SOCIAL DILEMMA (2020)

    QUESTIONS:

    1) Why do you use social media? Is that the only way to achieve those things?

    Answer:

    I use social media to connect with my family, friends even in our business. For me it is the easiest way to connect
    with them by using social media. Especially in our Business we can transact as fast as it should be.

    2) Technology is a tool. Tools wait patiently. Social media is no longer a tool, it’s a manipulation. In what ways do
    you think you are being manipulated by social media?

    Answer:

    I’ve been manipulated by the social media in a way that I can’t stop using my phone in an hour I always check
    my phone if there’s a message or a new notification from my friends and even an email. By this time I think manipulation
    takes place I keep scrolling my phone even if there’s no important matter that I need to do. But now Im started to
    control my urge to use my phone.

    3) What is one part of the film that really resonates with you? Connect it to a personal experience.

    Answer:

    In the part of the film my personal experience on it is in the Mother Part that she can’t control her child in using
    their mobile phone. Nowadays teenagers can’t stop using their phones in chatting’s, TikTok’s, watching YouTube videos.
    My eldest daughter can’t control her eagerness to use her phone even if I confiscate it, she would do anything just to
    give her back the phone. Even my niece he throws tantrums if we confiscate their phone. That is the hardest part of
    being a parent and it really resonates me.
