Addendum One - Answers to Questions

Please amend the subject RFP to include answers to the following timely received questions:

Q1. Is there a requirement for the registered dietitian services to be provided in person to any of the locations
or is this proposal just for the development of nutrition resources content and support to the agency?

A1. The large majority of the services can be delivered remotely. There may be occasional meeting points that
may be best in-person (can be discussed).

Q2. The question on “does your state have a preference for instate contractors? Is this referring to the state we
are in or the state of Iowa?

A2. You will need to look through your state’s administrative rules or codes, they are typically found on your
state’s website. Iowa does not have a preference for instate vendors. If you are not from Iowa and your
state has a preference for instate vendors, then we will apply that preference to all vendors.

Q3. Can you clarify what the meaning of level of technician; experience with providing this type of service?
How is this different form the # of years of experiencing in providing this service?

A3. Would like to see years and quality of experience specific to aging network and content creation (different
than simply # years as a Dietitian). High level management experience, content creation, etc. can be
expressed.

Q4. Exhibit 6: Personnel: Job Description of the purpose for this RFP? Can you explain if you would want us
create a job description specific to the Requirements as stated on this RFP?

A4. This is the job description of all RDs employed by contractor.

Q5. Exhibit 13-Implementation: Can we see the NRCNA assessments so that we can respond with
appropriately?

A5. The Needs assessment was launched in March, and it recently closed. Responses and results have not yet
been compiled.
Q6. Cost Proposal: This is just asking for an hourly rate? Is there a maximum number of hours budgeted for
this RFP or an estimation of hours annually? How do we provide the recurring cost if the only line item is
asking for an hourly rate?

A6. Hourly rate is fine. Include travel expenses, equipment costs if also using.

Q7. 4.1.2.1 Can you clarify what is meant by contracts?

A7. Example contract language for use by aging network.

Q8. Section 5: Is there an evaluation scoring matrix that can be shared?

A8. The scoring matrix will be posted before the closing of the RFP.
