Horror Film Poster (if you started the course in September)

I looked at other horror film posters as well as the film to understand what
my poster needed.

Lost Short Film

I was able to look into the word ‘lost’ in order to create the short film.

Blair Witch Trailer Project

I managed to look at the existing trailers of the Blair witch project to help
my own trailer.

I looked into the era of film that Dracula was from, went for little colour and
used red to contrast the rest of the poster.

Using the word ‘lost’ we used empty corridors to illustrate the meaning in
shots.

It was easy to recreate the shots when we had the trailers for reference

Identify examples within your own work of where your research and application of contextual
knowledge was successful?

The poster shows its influences well with the dark aesthetic as well as the old look.

What do you feel you have learned from this process that you could carry forward for future projects?

I’ve learned how to use photoshop and premiere pro as well as developed my evaluation skills. I have
also learned how to use a camera and edit in sound effects properly.
