This might include use of images, use of typography, use of sound, existing examples of media products
and roles within the industry itself.

Horror Film Poster (if you started the course in September)

For this I look at the variety photos and took them one by one to the main layer. Researched the
photoshop more by watching a video, then do it by myself, like custom fonts.

Lost Short Film

I researched sounds/music when creating this film. After recording every scene that I planned and
editing it, I went to different sites with non-copyright music, and trust worthy ones,

Blair Witch Trailer Project

Here I researched many things such as the use of sound, and the use of images. Looked at the original
trailer and edited it similar as possible. The use of sounds, that is the voice-overs that we recorded for
the trailer (our voices).

In this poster project I have learn many things in photoshop. Things that I didn’t know before.
I acknowledged how to overlay specific things, colour it and more. Another thing what I learned and truly
helped is how to copy/cut specific objects, place and mix it with each other’s. I used custom fonts, and
(example): colour the grass and even more.

For this I planned everything with a sheet. There we planned the places, theme and even (if) the
dialogues. The camera shot types and even morel. It helped me to know where to start, and not get
confused with that to start or forget in the meanwhile.

In this case, it was very interesting. To see a trailer and remake it exactly the same it is quite hard, but
the idea and theme already is. From all the things I learned from the previous projects, it came handy. It
helped me how to plan it and edit it. From inspecting the trailer and look for diverse places that look the
same, then have the same shot types and editing.

While recording. The shot types and camera techniques helped me to achieve it more.

What do you feel you have learned from this process that you could carry forward for future projects?

It’s from the way you plan, to the editing. Planning helped me a lot and organised things clearer for me. I
would use the same technique for the future projects. As for editing, either video or posters, helped me
learn more of photoshop.
