It has been your dream to buy a laptop
of your own for school use. But, you
cannot afford to ask your parents to
provide you with one because you know
that there are far more important things
and basic needs that your parents have to
spend their hard-earned money with.
You decide to save a little amount of
your allowance every month and aim to
buy it on your own.
To do this, you have to think of a
realistic saving scheme using a number
pattern or rule that will help you save the
needed amount to buy a laptop.
Start with the amount that you want to
save based on the usual allowance that you
receive from your parent/s monthly
(whether schooling is face-to-face or not).
This saving scheme/number pattern will be
used monthly to save the amount for 12
months or 1 year.
Show the number sequence or progression
of your savings, number pattern and
formula used in the table below.

 1. How much will you be able to earn after a year
using the scheme that you used? Is your saving
scheme good enough to buy the laptop that you
need? Why/Why not?
Answer:
2. How does your knowledge on number pattern help
you to compute and save the needed amount for
your needs and wants?
