Chapter III

This chapter express the research methodology to be used in this study,

(a) study design, (b) population and the (c) instruments that will be used to gather the data and
methods.

Research Design
The purpose of this study was to examine if parental involvement can help the children
towards their academic achievements. This study aimed to determine if parents are actively
concerned in their child’s education and if there are an impact on their educational achievements

Population

Highschool. The respondents are selected because they are the ones who is involved under
academic achievements. There are

Data Collection Methods

The methods of data gathering for this research will be from primary and secondary sources of
data.

Primary sources are the first-hand records of particular occurrences, things, and works. They
make it feasible for researchers to get as near to the actual event as possible. You have the option
to independently analyze, synthesise, and/or interpret the data and original sources because these
tasks have not yet been done.

To collect information from the respondents in this case, the researcher will use a questionnaire.

Secondary data refers to information that has already been gathered and recorded by someone
other than the user for a reason unrelated to the research problem at hand. It is the readily
available data gathered from various sources like censuses, government publications, internal
records of the organization, reports, books, journal articles, websites, and so on.

Data Analysis
With the aid of descriptive statistics, the data was examined. After collecting all the data from
the instrument, the researchers examined the information and modified it so that only the
information pertinent to the study's goals and questions was kept. Utilizing descriptive statistics
like the percentage formula, data was evaluated. The findings were displayed using tables and
charts.

The first problem ‘ what is the profile of the respondents in terms of: (a) name,
(b) sex, (c) section”, was analyze using percentage. A chart was also used in this study.

Second problem “what are the academic standards set by the parents” it was analyzed using
percentage. A chart was also used in this study

Third problem, “does their parents help them in their study?” it was analyzed using percentage.
A chart was also used in this study

Fourth problem “how often do they communicate with their parents” it was analyzed using
percentage. A chart was also used in this study
Fifth problem “what are the problems in their parent’s involvement in their study?” it was
