ELECTRONICS SCRIPT

Claude: Good morning everyone. Welcome to our reporting. Please listen carefully and take
notes of the important information you can use for laters activity.

Monique: (read ppt)

Shean : Safety practices when working with chemicals:

Zamie:

2. Wear protective rubber/vinyl gloves for protection naman sa kamay.

Shean:

3. Use tongs when handling printed circuits being etched. Meaning kapag gumagawa tayo
aksidente. Read labels on chemicals being used. Para mas magamit yung chemical ng tama
at safely.

Zamie:

4. Work in a well-ventilated space.

Shean :

5. Wash all tools that contact any chemicals. Para maremove yung natirang chemicals at
magamit ulit yung tool ng safely.

Zamie :

6. Label containers that contain chemicals. For reference para hindi tayo malito at
organized ang mga chemicals.

Shean :
7. Do not store chemicals in glass containers if possible. Uhm may iba kaseng chemicals na
masyadong strong kaya may possibility na magbreak yung glass container .

Zamie :

8. Store all chemicals in a flammable metal storage cabinet. ( ITURO YUNG PICTURE) Uhm

Airish: Whom in this room can give us the meaning of ESD?

(let someone read)

Uhm electrostatic discharge eto yung parang shock na nararamdaman natin tuwing may
imbalance ng negative at positive na charges between two objects.

(read ppt)
Monique:
We prepared an example video para mas maintindihan pa natin kung ano ang ESD.
Airish :
Uhm actually ang nangyari po sa video. Yung babae after niyang bumaba sa kotse, nirub
daw nya yung kamay niya sa pants niya which is rubber kaya nagkaroon ng friction and
hinawakan niya yung gasolina kaya naggenerate iyon ng esd.

Claude : The following naman ay ang ways to prevent ESD.

1. Treat electronic components and circuits as static sensitives. Uhm expect na natin ang
presence ng energy so always be careful po tayo.

Monique: Do not touch the leads, pins, or components of printed circuit board traces.
Gumamit po tayo ng proper tools to avoid incidents wag basta basta humawak with bare

Claude : Before handling a component or circuit, discharge yourself by touching a

grounded metal surface.
madidischarge tayo dahil magfloflow yung present electron sa ating katawan to prevent
shocks or esd bago tayo maghandle ng components or circuits.

Monique : Keep components in original packing materials until needed. For maintenance
and safety ng gamit.
Claude : Never slide static components over any surface. Base sa slide natin kanina ang esd
can be generated through friction.

sila so safe po sila gamitin as long as alam natin kung paano sila gamitin ng tama.

Shean : When using hand tools always observe the following precautions:

1. Always use proper tool for the job. Use the right type and size of tool for each
application. Of course importante na gumamit ng tamang tool dahil maaaring magkaroon
ng aksidente kapag nagkamali tayo sa paggawa.

Zamie :

2. When carrying tools, always keep the cutting edge down. Kapag maghahawak tayo
especially yung sharp objects, laging pababa yung hawak dahil delikado at pwede
makasaksak accidentally.
Shean :

3. Keep hands clean when using tools. Avoid grease, dirt, or oil on hands when using any
tool. Uhm ganon parin to avoid incidents and generally naman kapag magwowork tayo on

Zamie :

4. Clamp small pieces when using a hacksaw, screwdriver or soldering iron.
natin and mas mapadali ang trabaho.

Shean :

5. Avoid using chisels and punches with mushroomed heads. (ITURO YUNG PICTURE)

Zamie:

6. Never use file without a handle dahil delikado po yan kapag gumamit tayo ng mga
walang handles. Files are cutting tools used to remove/smooth rough and sharp edges from cut metal.
Shean:

7. Never use plastic handled tools near an open flame dahil baka magcause ng accidents or
sunog.

Zamie:

8. Keep metal rules clear of electrical circuit dahil metals are good conductors of electricity
kaya always be aware.

Shean :

9. Disconnect all electrical devices by pulling directly on the plug, never the cord. Kagaya

Zamie:

10. When cutting wire, always cut one wire at a time to avoid damaging the cutting tool.

Airish : Soldering makes effective and reliable electrical connections

Claude:

1. Always assume that the soldering iron is hot. Never touch the tip to see if it is hot.

Monique:

2. Always place the soldering iron in its holder when idling.

Claude :

3. Never shake excess solder off the tip wipe it on a damp sponge or approved tip cleaner.
Wag natin isheshake yung soldering iron kase kakalat yung mainit na metal na inilalabas
nito at maaaring makaaksidente pa po ito.

Monique :

4. Never pass a soldering iron to another person ; place it in the holder and let the other
person take it from there.

Claude :
5. Never solder on a circuit that has power applied to it. Dahil sobrang delikado nito kapag

Monique :

6. Always use a grounded tip soldering iron.

nagcause yung electrical shock. So meron tayong dalawang uri ng electricity na maaaring
mareceive ng isang tao during an electrical shock.
(Let someone read )

Airish: Sa high voltage, eto yung mga dapat iniiwasan na dahil malakas talaga yung
electricity dito at delikado.
yung electricity and pwede pang malayo yung victim sa source.

(Let someone read)

Shean : Dito, ichecheck natin yung response ng ating casualty or yung victim para malaman

normal yung paghinga.
(Read ppt)

Claude : Read ppt (mabagal para masundan nila zamie)

Airish isusulat yung keywoards sa board.
Airish : (read ppt and look at the picture) Ito po ang itsura ng isang automated external
defibrillator.

(let someone read)

between electricity and our skin.
