    The diary provides observations from the first two days of a student teaching placement. On the first day, the principal welcomed the student teachers and introduced them to the school and Head Teacher. The Head Teacher then assigned each student teacher to a cooperating teacher. The cooperating teacher showed the student teacher their designated classroom. Over the next two days, the student teacher observed a Grade 9 home economics class, where most students were girls learning bread and pastries. In class, most students cooperated during group work, but some were less social. Outside of class, students generally greeted teachers politely, though some students hung out in friend groups while others were alone.

    DIARY

    DAY 1 & 2

    November 28, 2022 - November 29, 2022

    When we started our first day of observation, I was so

    excited and nervous at the same time. The principal welcomed us

    with positive energy. He introduced us to the school and the Head

    Teacher of Home Economics. The Head Teacher assigned us to our

    respective cooperating teachers and observed everything that was

    related to the student's learning process. Our cooperating

    teacher roomed and escorted us to our designated classroom.

    As I was observing the class from day one to two here at Antonio

    A. Maceda Integrated School, where I am handling Grade 9, the age

    ranges between 14 to 15 years old, and most of them are girls

    since they are taking up bread and pastries.

    During class, I can say that they are all cooperating and have

    unity, especially when they have groupings for their laboratory.

    They are listening to the instructions from their teacher. And

    there are some students that don't want to interact or socialize.

    Outside the class, I can say that the students are polite,

    especially when they bump into their teachers. They greeted them

    politely. As I was observing them, I saw some of my students had

    a group of friends, and some were alone..
