1. Complete the blog with the simple past form of the verbs.

This is what I did yesterday:

I (1) _______ early. I (2) __was_____ (be) very excited. I (3) __went__ (go) to the hospital on the bus. The
hospital? Yes, that's right! I was OK but it (4) ____wasn´t___ (not-be) a very special day for me. I want to be a
doctor like Olivia's dad. Dr. Mathews (5) ___said____ (say): "Come to the hospital for a day, Joan". It was
brilliant! I ____felt___ (6) (feel) nervous, but Doctor Mathews was great. He (7) _gave__ (give) me a tour.
I (8) (see) __saw_____ the special machines and (9) ___met____ (meet) the nurses. They worked really hard. At
lunchtime, I (10) ___ate____ (eat) sandwiches in the cafeteria with all the doctors. I asked the doctors lots of
questions! I (11) __had_____ (have) a great time! When I (12) ___got____ (get) home I (13) wrote (write) an e-
mail to Dr. Mathews to say thank you
