Leadership Goals
1. I will develop my leadership goals in learning and teaching
a. Goal: Encourage students’ increasing proficiency in using Historical
Thinking Skills to analyze historical events, make a claim, and support
their claim with evidence
b. Objective: Help students effectively support claims with evidence through
an understanding of logical inquiry
c. Rationale: Historical thinking skills allow students and historians to
develop unique accounts of past events or time periods within a particular
culture
d. NBPTS: Proposition 3: Teachers are responsible for managing and
monitoring student learning.
