Mr. Usman Khan

Manager, Marketing Department
Unilever Pakistan.

Respected Sir,

I am writing to express my interest for a place at the Unilever’s Future Leaders

Programme in the finance department. I was informed about the programme by
your Marketing manager, Ms. Sophie Rude, whom I had the pleasure of talking to
few days ago. I felt immediately compelled to apply. I am very familiar with the
company’s reputation for supplying high quality consultation services to the hotel
and special event industry. I see this opportunity within Unilever as an excellent
foundation to involve myself with such a prestigious company and render my
services to international marketplace.

I have a 7 years’ experience in this field. Previously I had been associated with Shan
foods in promotions and sales department and dealt with international and national
clients. Further I have served in finance department of BYCO Fuels and managed
multi-million dollars accounts. Also my research papers regarding psychology of
sales and finance management have been published in international journals. I see
no better option than Unilever which has become an international giant with more
than 400 brands worldwide, it combines the best of local knowledge and global
expertise to offer its clients bespoke solutions no matter their location.
Furthermore, after the company presentation at Islamabad I had the opportunity to
learn more about Unilever’s culture, which I believe is really conducive to one’s
personal and professional growth. For a professional, such a professional and helpful
culture combined with the career progression possibilities and agile working
environment has set Unilever apart from its competitors as the place to be.

Throughout my college and job career I have acquired valuable skills such as
analyzing problems, articulating my opinions and succeeding in an extremely
competitive environment. I also have a minor in sales psychology. Furthermore, as a
professional I have endeavored to add as much value to my work as possible. I fully
understand how important it is to have a great team dynamics in today’s multi-
disciplinary business environment. Moreover, my last experience in has especially
fostered my ability to work in teams under time constraints and to handle
responsibility. Finally, I want to highlight my strong attention to detail and my
enthusiasm towards anything I am responsible for or involved in.

For all these reasons mentioned above, I consider this programme in Unilever to be
an ideal beginning to my professional career and I would be particularly interested in
acquiring the position of Finance manager. I am attaching a copy of my resume for
further details. You can reach me at 0331-2950528 and ajmirza652143@gmail.com

Regards
