INTRODUCTION

This chapter includes an introduction that contains basic information regarding the product we will
manufacture and the ideal location to launch our desired firm, as well as the study's background and
organizational background. Along with the study goals, which describe our study into the product we are
providing, this section also includes the statement of the problem, which comprises the questions that will
be answered one at a time through our group research. Additionally, the significance of the study
highlights the value of our research and the contribution of our creative business management and
marketing strategies, as well as serving to identify the study's original target. This also has a scope and
limitation that will help define the study's depth and guide the specific controls we pick to reduce the
study's scope. The complete explanations and definitions of terminology used in operations are available
in operational definitions of terms, which may be used to standardize the provided data and minimize the
likelihood of misunderstanding by future researchers doing related studies.

Starting this type of business is challenging; there are many factors to take into consideration, most
particularly the financial aspects. The location and the marketing strategy are the scariest and most
difficult aspects of doing so. However, we think that if we unite together to help modest things improve,
then collectively we can survive and build our own business.

Background of the Study

Description of the product/service

The most important liquid for maintaining human life is water. Water is crucial for drinking,
transportation, and agriculture. It may be used or consumed by people with little risk of immediate or
long-term harm is known as drinking water or potable water. Even though only a very small part of the
water is actually consumed or used for food preparation, the water that is delivered to households,
businesses, and industry in the majority of developed countries meets drinking water requirements.

Many rural places in the country don't have available safe water to drink even in urban locations because
of pollutants and dangerously contaminated chemical waste disposed of by some industries. In both
locations, these families must find alternative water sources if they are to avoid cholera epidemics and
other health problems spawned by the foul, contaminated water available in their neighborhoods. In the
provinces, the scenario is worse. Some people rely on wells or even on rivers for their supply of water for
their daily consumption.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO) millions of Filipinos get sick or unfortunately die
annually from water related diseases. These problems are accredited to the poor water system in the
Philippines. Like in the cities around Manila, three fourth (3/4) of the population received piped water
from the water authority company. Likewise, in the provinces like Tubod Lanao Del Norte fewer of the
population has access to clean water distribution because some of them rely on the spring river coming
from the mountain or worse from the deep-well for their daily consumption. A situation occurred a few
years ago, the water source became contaminated and causes illness to the residences like cholera,
amoebiasis, cryptosporidiosis other diseases have found on the water, since then, people are afraid to use
the water provided by the Tubod water district.  Both scenario either cities or provinces must have an
alternative source of water which is well processed. Because of the demand for cleaner water
consumption, this feasibility study came up with the water refilling station which served the cleanest and
finest water to our daily task and consumption. The appearance of this business in the Philippines
landscape is so fast and increasing. This is managed by the private entrepreneurs where consumers would
bring containers and fill them per gallon-fee but they also offer home delivery for the regular customers.
Usually, the water supply comes from the pipe of the water authority company and entrepreneur’s
investment for the treatment equipment for the water purification.
Goals, objectives, and the expectations of our clienteles were taken into consideration as the demands for
clean water in a rapidly changing environment were expected. As a result, the businessmen and their
partners' overall planning utilized the logical framework of the water firms and water refilling stations
from societal to sectorial purposes (purified water refilling station). Then, the company's service goals
will focus on providing exceptional service, the purest and finest water, and having employees that are
kind to customers.

A more practical and affordable alternative to one-time bottled water purchases or the usage of home
water filters are water refilling stations, which are facilities run by private businesses and entrepreneurs.
The business was created as a result of the couple's combined efforts to realize their ambition of operating
a business that provides a service to the local community to create and distribute pure, clean water that
will help customers to stay healthy.

Organizational type

Water Refilling station is an organizational type by managing with the private firms. The proponents used
this type because it engaged inside the manufacture, sale, and distribution of water refilling station
equipment and supplies, in addition to water remedy and purification system and generation for
household, institutional, industrial and commercial programs.

Organizational form

The organizational structure that the study's proponents applied is a general partnership, which consists of
four (3) partners who structure a business without specific requirements or declaring for a formal
agreement, contribute equally to the needed capital, and reach legally binding decisions using a simple
majority vote. Each partner is responsible for their respective portion of the partnership profits. Profits are
automatically split evenly among the partners; this partnership may be declared verbally or by mutual
consent of the business partners.

Graphic identity

The proponents create this idea for the graphic identity as to show that our business exists which is
offering and serving safe and clean drinking water. Our business name is Aqua Prime Water Refilling
Station which indicates that our business is into water refilling stations, also with the name itself means
that the product we serve to them is giving the best quality of drinking water for their daily life. The
tagline of our business is “An Everyday Necessity, for a better Quality of Life” which means that getting
the most important essential thing will give a better way off within your daily life. This graphic will be
shown and serve for the residences not just in the Tubod Business Community and Cooperative Multiplex
Buildings (TBCC) located at San Antonio but to the entire Tubod, Lanao Del Norte.
Organizational Background

Vision

Aqua Prime Water Refilling Station is aiming to provide clean and pure water for everyone as to promote
good health and well-being towards the community. Also, to have safe and healthy drinking water in each
residential household customer.

Mission

To be a well-known purified water refilling station with excellent hygiene. Encouraging the consumption
of pure and healthy water. Enhancing quality of life with healthier goods. Maintaining the standard with
good services.

Goals and Objectives

 To establish a service-based business that is well-equipped and clean

 To offer everyone with access to clean, drinkable water that will support their health
 To serve the customer with best quality and affordable drinking water

Values Statement

Daily operations require us to value those in our immediate environment, including our employees,
customers, and the community. As a customer-oriented business we wanted to provide the customer with
safe and reliable drinking water that will serve them an excellent high-quality product and services. Also,
to lead and become a trusted refilling station in the community with accountability regarding the
delivering commitment. Therefore, this will serve to develop a good relationship between the customer's
lives that includes these three; Honesty, Trusted and Integrity.

Statement of the Problem

The anticipated problems that the next researchers working on this study will run with that are mentioned
below. The conclusion of this research must resolve these problems, especially if one intends to start a
firm in the future. Also, this following question is aiming to support within the topic.

1. Where to get the capital for the Business?

2. Where to find the location to establish the business?
3. Where to get the business permits of the business?
4. Where to get the tools and equipment? And how much is the cost of each?
5. What is the best source of water in putting up a water refilling station in Tubod, Lanao Del
Norte?

Marketing Aspect
Both the method and purpose of the marketing to the product will depend on how effectively it is made.
Only when it is deemed to be of extraordinary worth will quality water be bought. As to advertise and
promote, it may be effectively able to reach the customer, distributing brochures and fliers within the
community. Promoting in social media, that will be spread and shared through the community page then
also posting to the signage and tarp in the known area. It may offer a discount or promo like free refill to
the customer, giving them a special card, which proves that they purchased in 5 straight. On the other
hand, through promoting and advertising the product in the certain location it will inform on how the
quality of the product is great because the water has been exceptional and it is safe and reliable drinking
water for everyone. Therefore, Aqua Prime Refilling Station will obtain a great opportunity to increase
the profitability and excellent outcome through creating the best strategy to promote the product towards
the target market that has been raised within the area broadly.

Management Aspect
Aqua Prime Water Refilling Station is a partnership type of organization which is owned by three people
specifically by Stephanie B. Magalona, Leslejoy Paug, and Ralph Namocatcat. This will be specifically a
general partnership because the partners will be responsible and accountable for operational, financial,
and marketing effectiveness and success. Under this will have prospective roles to attain regarding what
they contribute and what job description and design that have been inclined to each other. Some
responsibilities to manage must focus by looking at the operations of the business and ensuring the
financial management will be practically in good terms. Other than that, everything should be handled
accordingly to maintain and ensure that the machine is working well. Then, putting in good services like
greeting the customers while serving them in order to give good feedback and result in the business. In
this case, this will be organized by putting what the best thing to do in this business, aside with that this
organization will establish a great performance to achieve and give what is best for the customers.

Operational Aspect

Finding a suitable equipment, water resource and proper location in this business will make the operation
cycle process turn well. Water supply should be actively worked which helps for the production process
within the filtration flow systems along with important functions of the equipment’s needed. Monthly
maintenance must pay attention regarding this because there will be a transformation of the bacteria, in
that the water must stay clean and fresh. Also, always embrace cleanliness because people’s lives depend
on the product that has been sold. Aside from that, the refilling gallons too should be operated well like it
must serve the customer a good result through cleaning properly their refilling gallons. On the other hand,
Aqua Prime Water Refilling Station will technically go through within a proper and automated way to
serve the customer with their reliable drinking water every day. With that, the owners will seek and
perform everything step by step in order to have a successful service and great business to achieve.

Financial Aspect
In this section this will perform by evaluating as to launch the costs, ongoing costs, cash flow, and future
performance to determine whether a given business is economically viable. Also, it will create a solid
business plan, maintaining accurate accounting, and obtaining sufficient funding. Other than this, it will
examine our project's viability based on a key determining factor that will determine whether the business
will have enough money to achieve and become successful in the future. Preparing the businesses within
the current statistical information regarding the market and operational things in the business. Therefore,
it will be a great benefit in our business to know the finance requirements which can help with the
planning subsequent and gaining an advantage over competitors in new industries to reveal the potential
growth in the area.

Socio-Economic Aspect
In TBCC Tubod, Lanao Del Norte, Aqua Prime Water Refilling Station is liable for all taxes and other
fees that must be paid to the Municipality of Tubod. Also, the business is ensuring to comply with the
health and safety protocols from the government like the proper preparation, refill, handling, the store and
the delivery of the water that must contain a good sanitizing solution to clean and sanitize the container.
Remember, one thing advisory, washing the container using just water and soap is insufficient. On the
other hand, rules and regulations should be followed which have been implemented by the government, as
well as the legal procedure that is important to be done with our business. The certain area that has been
chosen for the business will benefit because Aqua Prime Water Refilling Station will serve and offer safe
and clean drinkable water in their daily life since water is one of the important needs and wants of the
human being. So, aside from that our business will establish a friendly and comfy environment to serve
them with excellent services in order to satisfy the main target and objective of the business.

Objectives of the Study

The objective of this study is to create service-based companies whose primary goal is to provide the
customers with pure, clean and healthy water. To offer the best quality drinking water in the community
of Tubod, Lanao Del Norte with the respect and trusted provision of safe and wholesome business we
had. Maintaining the image with good services through utilizing the cleanest and finest water that is
needed to the community and to be developed as a sustainable business with the community-friendly
employee in the business.

Significance of the Study

In comparison to our many competitors, this study will offer our customers the product we are selling at a
very reasonable and affordable price, assuming we ever had one. This section will provide a quick outline
of the many research areas that we need to address. This study will offer newly discovered facts and
enable a greater knowledge of our product, meet customers' needs, and handle business and people in the
correct manner. The study's findings will be very helpful to consumers in helping them develop more
about the business and give them the best customer service experience. Therefore, the findings of this
present study will help extend the existing knowledge of the following:

Entrepreneurs - the study will enhance their knowledge and entrepreneurial skills of effective ways in
handling water refilling stations.

Potential business owners - the study provides recommendations, marketing strategy and financial
management in dealing business.

Researchers - this study will benefit through gaining knowledge from making this feasibility study.

Scope and Delimitations

The primary goal of this business is to give the customers best quality drinking water for their daily needs
which will also serve the business effectively aiming the goal and objectives to be through gaining the
business profit of it. Moreover, this study will tend to focus on this particular aspect; Marketing,
Operating, Management, Financial and Socio-Economic and since we’re offering drinking water to them,
the proponents will effectively do what we got in order to serve our customers and give them a good
quality drinking water. So, the study is focused on the establishment of the Water refilling station in
Tubod Lanao Del Norte in which the area lacked purified water producers. Therefore, this will be located
within the area we choose, especially the main target market we tend to serve and offer the business we
will build on.

Operational Definition of Terms

Water Refilling Station business – refers to a selling profit either it is wholesale or retail of water placed
in refillable water containers or the costumer’s containers in refilling station

Water Quality – refers to chemical, physical, biological and radiological characteristics of water. It
measured the condition of the water relative to the requirements of one or more biotic species and to any
human needs.

Bottled Water - refers to water that is intended for human consumption and that Is sealed in bottles or
other containers with no added ingredients except that it may optionally contain safe and suitable
antimicrobial agents and may optionally contain minerals such as, but not limited to fluorides, chlorides,
carbonates and sulfates, including flavoring within limitations established by the bottler's country.

Water System Supply - infrastructure for the collection, transmission, treatment, storage, and distribution
of water for homes, commercial establishments, industry and irrigation, as well as for such public needs
as fire fighting and street flushing. Of all municipal services, provision of potable water is perhaps the
most vital. People depend on water for drinking, cooking, washing, carrying away wastes, and other
domestic needs. Water supply system must also meet requirements for public, commercial, and industrial
activities

Water purification – it is a process of removing undesirable chemicals, biological contaminants,

suspended solids and gasses from the contaminated water.

Review of Related Literature and Studies

This chapter presents the related studies and literature that provided a background for the development of
the present study and brings the readers up to date. It includes both conceptual and research literature
from the Filipino and Foreign Authors.

LOCAL LITERATURE

pH is used as a measurement of how acidic or basic a water is. Its range goes from 0-14, with 7 being
neutral. if the pH is less than 7, it indicates acidity, while if the pH is greater than 7, then it indicates as
basic. pH is also a measurement of the relative amount of free hydrogen and hydroxyl ions in the water.
The water is acidic if it has more free hydrogen ions, while it is basic if it has more free hydroxyl ions.
Since the chemicals in the water affects the level of pH, then it is an important indicator of the chemical
changes occurring in the water (Islam et. al., 2017).

Water Filtration

Water filtration is a general term that refers to any system or process that is used to filter out particles and
pollutants from water. It doesn't necessarily need to be a purifier to make the cut. Anything that removes
any amount of particles, sediment, bacteria and removes the chlorine taste, can be called water filtration.
If it has a filter of any type, it's a filtration system.

In the study of Gary Logsdon (2015) entitled “Microbiology and Drinking Water Filtration” he assessed
filtration removing suspended matter such as clays, algae, suspended matter in general, and asbestos
fibers from water. Filtration studies related to removal of microorganisms have generally been motivated
by the need to learn about the removal of pathogens or indicator organisms, or both. Reducing the risk of
waterborne disease has been a goal of microbiologically related filtration.

Demand in WRS

Demand is an economic principle referring to a consumer's desire and willingness to pay a price for a
specific good or service. Holding all other factors constant, an increase in the price of a good or service
will decrease demand, and vice versa.

According to Josephine Salillas (20One of the fast expanding businesses in Manila, and in most Metro
cities nationwide, is the water refilling station. It’s mushrooming on every street corner, because a lot of
people in urban areas prefer to get their drinking water from these water stations, it’s simply clean and
safe to drink. Over the years, as the demand for cleaner water becomes higher, the price of household
water purifiers and bottled water has become prohibitive.
Human Resources

Human Resources is also the organizational function that deals with the people and issues related to
people such as compensation and benefits, recruiting and hiring employees, on boarding employees,
performance management, training, organization development and culture, and advising senior staff about
the impact on people of their financial, planning, and performance decisions on the people in the
organization.

Magtibay (2011) noted that to operate the water store, about five employees are needed. One manager to
oversees store operations at least 4 hours a day; 1 accountant/bookkeeper who will makes financial
statement of business operations; 1 administrative assistant who will log and handle cash sales and
purchases; 1 front liner who will accept and refill containers of customers;  1 technical assistant who will
maintain and run the machine;  and 1 driver/delivery man  who will transport refilled containers to
customer’s home.

Institutions and Policies

There are agencies involved for a water refilling station to operate. They monitor these businesses if they
are following the required standards that benefit both consumers and the business.

In the study of B.B Magtibay (2018) entitled “Water Refilling Station: an alternative source of drinking
water in the Philippines” He enumerated all agencies directly involved in the establishment operation of
water refilling stations, these are:

The Department of Health (DOH). DOH is the main agency responsible for protecting the health of the

people. The Sanitation Code of the Philippines mandates DOH in protecting drinking water quality.
Consequently, DOH issues implementing rules and regulations prescribing sanitary standards for water
supply systems, including water refilling stations.

The Center for Health Development (CHD) is the regional branch of DOH. Its main function is to

provide technical assistance to local government units and to monitor DOH programme implementation
which includes water quality and sanitation standards. For water refilling stations, CHD is mandated to
issue initial and operational permits.

The Local Government Units (LGUs) are mandated by Presidential Decree (PD 856) to issue sanitary
permit, sanitary clearance, health certificates, certificate of portability, drinking water site clearance and
closure order (if necessary) and to conduct sanitary inspection of WRS.

The Water Quality Association of the Philippines Inc. (WQAP) is an organization of private firms who
are engaged in the manufacture, sale, and distribution of water refilling station equipment and supplies, as
well as water treatment and purification equipment and technology for household, institutional,
commercial and industrial applications. About 85 percent of its 250 members operate water refilling
stations.

Association of Water Refilling Entrepreneurs (AWARE) concentrates on resolving business management

issues of its members.

Presidential Decree No. 856 (PD 856) or the Sanitation Code of the Philippines is the main law requiring
all establishments to comply with existing sanitary standards to protect public health. Guidelines for
operating a water refilling station are indicated in the Supplemental Implementing Rules and Regulations
on Water Supply of PD 856 issued in 1999.
Water quality Monitoring

Water Quality can be defined as the chemical, physical and biological characteristics of water, usually in
respect to its suitability for a designated use.

According to the MWSS Regulatory Office (2019) they enumerated all the tests that need to undergo and
pass for safe drinking water.

Source water and product water are subject to regular monitoring by the local health office. The national
standards for drinking water contains 54 parameters that must be complied with. Only DOH-accredited
laboratories are allowed to conduct water testing and analysis. The frequency of monitoring is as follows:

 Bacteriological quality - at least monthly

 Physical quality - at least every six (6) months
 Chemical quality - at least every six (6) months
 Biological quality - at least once a year
 Monitoring of radioactive contaminants shall be done only if there is significant input of radiation
from the surrounding environment.

Customers or the standards of the consumer price will not be the problem as long as there is a quality to
the products that these businesses sell.

FOREIGN LITERATURE

Water is one of the fundamental needs of humans. Most body fluid fulfilments are obtained from drinking
water. A person needs 30–60 L of clean water in a day and about 30 mL/kg body weight of drinking
water, which should meet the requirements of water quality based on physical, microbiological, and
chemical parameters. In developing countries, the main water treatment methods for drinking water in
households are boiling or filtration from groundwater sources and tap water. As tap water is not totally
distributed to all households and sometimes not affordable for 24 hours, many households choose to use
groundwater. The retreatment of tap water is needed because the quality of tap water is not the same as
potable water due to recontamination from leakage and unstable pressure along the distribution system.

Nowadays, bottled drinking water is more popular as an alternative source of drinking water due to its
practicality and reasonable price. As the cost of branded bottled drinking water is relatively expensive for
the middle–low communities, refilled drinking water in turn becomes the alternative choice because its
cost is three times cheaper than branded bottled drinking water. This condition influences the extensive
spread of drinking water refilling stations (DWRS) in the urban areas of many developing countries, such
as the Philippines, India, Indonesia, Kenya, and Mexico, in the last two decades. (Sari, S. Y. I., Faisal, M.,
Raksanagara, A. S., Agustian, D., & Rusmil, K. 2020).

In the study of “Decentralized membrane-based drinking water refill stations in Southeast Asia”, which
rely upon the purchase of water from refill stations by consumers. This feature article discusses these
water treatment and refill stations, including the appropriateness of the technology, the suitability of the
business models employed, and the long-term environmental and operational sustainability of these
systems. We also provide an outlook for the sector, highlighting key technical challenges that need to be
addressed in order to improve the capacity of these systems, such that they can become an effective and
financially viable solution. (Sima, L. C., & Elimelech, M. 2013)
Access to safe water is not only a problem for the poor in developing countries. In most urban regions of
developing nations, tap water is contaminated as it passes through leaking pipes during distribution,
Studies in Argentina, Mexico, Trinidad, Tajikistan, Cambodia, and South Africa found that water
collected from household taps contained indicator pathogens, whereas water at the treatment plan did not,
likely as a result of contamination within the distribution system. In Jakarta, Indonesia, one study found
tap water to be more contaminated than any other water sources, including untreated groundwater. As a
result of these risks, consumption of bottled water, especially among higher income earners, is growing
worldwide in developing countries.

Research Methodology

Research Design

Research will be a qualitative method in gathering information to support the study. Respondents will be
at least 100 individuals. These 100 respondents come from the present population of Tubod Lanao Del
Norte as of conducting those studies. To obtain the required information for the study, the researchers
agreed to use survey questionnaires through Google forms online for 50 respondents and 50 respondents
for face-to-face surveys.

Sampling Procedure

The proponents used random sampling to gather information from the target market which consisted of
residents from the 8 barangays belonging to the municipality of Tubod. The surveys are conducted to
highlight the people's feedback and demand regarding water refilling stations

Tool/s used in Gathering Information

The proponents used information from different sites on the internet as a source for their research in order
to gather information about the business location and others that can help in this study.

THE MARKETING ASPECT

Objectives of the Marketing Aspect

In order to create an effective product, we will need to gather information on the internal and external
environments of our product in order to determine whether we can significantly change the environment.
To avoid spending too much or operating out of materials, we must be aware of the supply and demand
conditions. This chapter is aiming to accomplish these goals in this chapter.

 To serve the customer a reliable, clean and safe drinking water in the community.
 To determine if the business promotion is effective regarding the area’s chosen like will the target
market refill their own galloon in our business.
 To become trusted Water Refilling Station in TBCC Tubod, Lanao Del Norte

According to the objectives' proponents, the objective is to create and establish opportunities related to
the target market, not just only to surpass their expectations by providing excellent services and
appropriate promotion to turn them into a devoted customer, but also to become the most trusted refilling
station in a certain community. On the other hand, accessing this area's market for an established firm is a
significant obstacle, which is why it is needed a proper promotion and to inform the target market that the
business is here already which has existed here closely. One of the main necessities and wants in daily life
is having safe, clean, and reliable drinking water, that’s why the firm aims to provide this towards the
customers. Because of this, the owner will keep developing and upgrading a key service for customers
with an effort to foster goodwill then provide for their needs appropriately as to boost and generate a
healthy profit for the company.

The Aqua Prime Water Refilling Station is accessible to everyone in the area. However, because of the
lack of water refilling stations in the area, this firm is especially targeting potential customers from TBCC
Tubod, Lanao Del Norte. Additionally, the advocates are cultivating a particular image of themselves as
the top filling station in the neighborhood. In addition, the company is employing efficient marketing
techniques to establish itself as a reputable and well-known station in the neighborhood. Also, this
particular industry is crucial for humans because most of us tend to overthink what we consume when it
comes to water, which is why some of us will buy or do refills in order to be safe with our choices. Then
the water replenishment stations will offer a great water that has been filtered to remove any contaminants
that may be entering from the source. For further information, the company aims to provide consumers
with an easier and more affordable drinking water alternative than making one-time bottled water
purchases to drink every day. Consequently, in order to serve the target market, the proponents would
work harder across the board in their firm, notably in the service sector. Making more of an effort to
provide the customers with safe, clean drinking water would make it easier for the company to pursue its
aim of being a reputable water refilling station.

Industry Analysis

Business Location Analysis

TBCC Tubod, Lanao Del Norte - Tubod Business Community and Cooperative Multiplex Buildings
located at San Antonio, Tubod, Lanao Del Norte. It is one of the famous Business communities where a
lot of the entrepreneurs here start and build their own businesses. The proponents chose this location

Market Analysis
This is an analysis of a potential market for the proposed product/service using the demand supply
quantum. Using the result of the proponents’ research instrument (survey questionnaires), the demand and
supply quantum can be computed by deducting the annual supply of the product/service from the annual
demand.

Demand Conditions: 5 gallon

Household population in Barangay Poblacion 11,060
Population who are not qualified as consumers (1%) 110
Net Potential Market 10,950
Multiply: Average amount spent of buyers P 50
Monthly spending P 547,500
Multiply: Annual buying frequency 48
Annual spending P26,280,000
Divide: Proposed average price P 20
Annual Demand 1,314,000 units

Supply Conditions:
Estimated Monthly Sales P 40,000
Multiply: Months in a year 12
Annual Sales P 480,000
Multiply: Number of competitors in the same location 3
Annual supply in pesos P 1,440,000
Divide: Average price of products based on survey of supplier’s opinion 20
Annual Supply 72,000 units

Measurement of Demand and Supply Quantum:

Annual demand 1,314,000
Less: Annual supply 72,000
Demand and supply gap 1,242,000 units

Based on the demand and supply quantum, it is clear that the market is not yet fully served based on the
remaining demand of 1,242,000 units. Therefore, the proposed business has potential market feasibility
since there are still many unsatisfied demands.

The Marketing Program

a. Proposed Target Market – the target of this business are the families and neighbours which may
categorize as children, teens (students) adults (workers and non-workers) senior citizens. With
this, we will offer and serve them the best quality drinking water as one of the important
necessities.
b. Product Strategy –  Aqua Prime Water Refilling Station is offering and serving by refilling their
gallons and jugs. Also, we are refilling the 1L bottles of drinking water which they can tend to
bring wherever they go and we are even selling 5 gallons with water already considering that if
the customers don't own a gallon. Therefore, this will serve the public that has an affordable and
cheap price within their household drinking water as their monthly consumable on it.
c. Price strategy – In correlation with our competitors, we decide to price our product as 20 pesos
per 5 gallons to refill and those who don't have their own gallon we tend to buy from that has a
price of 200 pesos with water already. Meanwhile, we are also offering by refilling their 1L
drinking bottle at a price of 5 pesos. Therefore, having this price we offer is very affordable and
cheap to refill with that we are better than the others.
d. Place Strategy – The business is located at TBCC Tubod Lanao Del Norte, this particular area
we choose is one of the famous Business Community and even a lot of other entrepreneurs there
are having their own business. Choosing this area gives us an advantage which could allow our
business to grow not just within the families who will buy or refill our product but also a
possibility that those other businesses will order from us in order to supply their business.
e. Promotions Strategy – At the beginning, before the opening we decided to promote our business
in a way rooming around within the community along with giving fliers and putting a tarpaulin in
the area that is visible towards our target market and informing the start of the business which
was considered too as an invitation. Also, on the day of the grand opening we decided to give
discounts that will last only for 3 days. Through this promotion, it could help us become well-
known and make it that this business has existed in this particular area. Additionally, we highly
open a social media account for this business because it is one way too to promote our business
since everyone is into social media right now. By spreading this, we will share it within the
community pages and groups so that they can see that there’s a Water Refilling Station nearby.
Another strategy we serve to the customers is that when they purchase 5 straight from us they can
get a free refill for 1 gallon in their refill, in order to claim that as reward we are giving a special
card that has a remark as proof that they purchased from us and being one of our loyal customers.
Moreover, one thing that our business does better is we do free delivery for our customers from
purchasing from 10 gallons and so forth, it is 1 way to maintain loyal customers. All they have to
do is to call our business contact number. For that strategy we tend to offer and serve them this.
We are positive that this is effective to our customers and we are better towards our competitors
because through this promotion strategy it can make our target market happy as they purchased it
from us.

Presentation, Analysis, and Interpretation of Data

We will share all of the data we have gathered based on how we did the survey via the survey
questionnaire in an online platform and face-to-face survey performed at TBCC, Tubod Lanao Del Norte
to discover people's opinions and wants concerning our product by which we aim to get into business.
Everything in the survey form was intended to respondents from potential customers for our Water
Refilling Station which they were given the chance and time to respond to complete our survey
questionnaire so thanks to them for being so attentive and helpful by answering our survey questions.
During the interview, we approach them in a good manner when they are doing some private
conversation, having a family group who are just hanging out outside their houses, and the others are
those who pass by nearby. With this way, it could help us when they answer it well also, some are being
curious that’s why we answered them well regarding it. Meanwhile, in doing the online survey we were
also highly shown in correct manner through asking a favor by answering the surveys with that we really
appreciated those people who give us time for answering our survey questionnaires.

Doing these surveys is really a big contribution within the business we conducted because this will serve
us on what generally opinions of our target market and especially within the specific area to build in.
Aside from face-to-face we also did the online survey because we all know that nowadays people are into
social media, that’s why we did this way of surveying regarding the business that we do which is very
convenient to do. Due to the large participation in doing this survey, we decided to divide the number of
people for doing this survey. We made 50 people for Face-to-Face then 50 people for an online platform
that was conducted in TBCC, Lanao Del Norte in October 15-16 2022. Therefore, the proponents quickly
recognized the respondents once they showed interest and excitement regarding the business we do.

THE OPERATIONAL ASPECT

Objectives of the Operational Aspect

This chapter contains a comprehensive list of the suggested products and services, the raw material
supply to be used, the production process and services delivery, the building and facilities, the equipment
and tools list needed for product preparation, the necessary manufacturing, and other products needed to
run the business efficiently.

 The details of the technical requirements of all the products and services that are used in Water
Refilling Station, as well as the materials needed and the production process of it.
 Knowing the suitable equipment and water resources within a certain location to make the
operation turn out well. Moreover, the machinery and other equipment to know its quantities and
estimated price
 To be open and honest about the production's manpower requirements, the scheduling and even
crucial elements like keeping the cleanliness-safety standards and the cost per unit of output.

Since the operations are extremely essential to the venture's success, the proponents have set this type of
goals. Every factor is carefully taken into account, down to the smallest of details. Also, we wanted to
make sure that every process and important agenda must obtain and achieve it in order to have better and
more successful operations.
Product/Service Specifications

The proponent decided to acquire the Water Refilling Station. The company was founded on the principle
of providing customers with water that is both safe and of high quality. It is a means of providing them
with clean drinking water and allowing customers to just refill their own gallons. In order for the
productions to function smoothly, it has had a specific filtration system. In order to fulfill the goals that
this firm has set toward meeting everyone's needs and wishes, some materials and equipment have been
placed in good conditions and have been properly maintained. It has also been decided to supply from the
Grand Champ Packaging Corporation, Victoria’s Bottle Trading and The Printing Shop.

Raw Materials

One of the raw materials here is the raw water that has been needed within this business.

Production Process/Service Delivery

Aqua Prime Refilling Station takes a long journey from tap to cup. Our process begins with raw water
from the water utility; this water is the same water everybody uses as tap water. Raw water has passed
through basic water treatment from the water company and has been treated with chemicals like chlorine.
This water is good enough for most tasks like bathing, washing, among others. However, this water is not
good enough for drinking because some pipe networks are outdated and leaking in certain areas. This
creates the possibility of bacterial contamination and minerals like manganese leaching into your water.
The chlorine used in the treatment may also linger in the water for days. Upon pumping the water into
our tanks, we put them into a multistage filtration system that gets rid of most mechanical contaminants
such as sand, rust and minerals. Next, we subject it to UV light, this kills any bacteria, virus or other
contaminants in the water. Then, it passes through our reverse osmosis with 28 stages of filtration.
Reverse Osmosis is a technology utilized by NASA in their space missions to supply clean water to
astronauts in space. The technology works by pumping water at high pressure through filter membranes.
The filter has openings a few micrometers long that is even smaller than a strand of hair. This makes sure
that any contaminants, biological or chemical, cannot pass through. Water that doesn't pass through the
filter is discarded and used for other purposes. Finally, the water goes through the Grander device where
its molecules are rearranged to make them smaller and more organized. This allows the water to be
absorbed better by the body. After this final step, your water comes out of our refilling faucets ready to
be bottled, delivered, and enjoyed.

Utilities and Waste Disposal

Electricity

It is one of the company’s key utilities. This is critical for REC’s seamless operations because machines need to be

working at all times. The source of our electricity came from the LANECO of Lanao Del Norte.

Water supply
REC will use a tap water tank to store the water on daily needs as it is the most needed utility of the company. The

source of the water for our business will come from the Tubod Water District.

Telecommunications

RECs proponents can use phones during free time and of course for receiving calls from customers for delivery.

Waste Disposal Method

REC wants all members of the industry, notably in this water refilling company, to conform to the cleaning

standards, particularly in the manufacture and treatment of the water. We closely monitor and maintain every aspect

of our business, especially the equipment we use for filtrations, to make sure that our customers can utilize our

products and services without risk. Additionally, the REC makes sure that our company is run effectively to provide

the client safely and securely so that they can drink pleasantly during their daily lives. On the other hand, in order to

provide a better impression on the customer, the REC is making sure that everything inside, outdoors, and

throughout the facilities is clean. In contrast, we also practice the 3 R's of trash management in order to make our

customers happy with both the goods we have to offer and the cleanliness that is displayed externally.

THE SOCIO-ECONOMIC ASPECT

Objectives of the Socio-Economic Aspect

In this chapter, this will discuss through determining the important purpose of this business

within the community and society. Also, customers are seeking clean drinking water with that Aqua

Prime Water Refilling Station wanting to satisfy the customer through improving the access along with

care towards the thousand households and families who will benefit from it. On the other hand, we

wanted to inform the people of the social benefits regarding business ventures like building a better and

stronger relationship through giving them a great satisfaction in order to maintain and be one of the loyal

customers. Moreover, as conducting this study we want to show the important contribution of this for

everyone and proving to them that this business exists in this area which not just focuses on the profit but

also to the main goal of the business as providing clean and safe healthy drinking water for everyone.

Meanwhile, this chapter includes as to determine the social responsibilities and economic implication of

the Aqua Prime Water Refilling Station

Social Implications

The biggest social benefits and contribution of having this business is to provide a more convenient and

affordable option for meeting drinking water needs than making one-time purchases of bottled water or

using home water filters. One more thing is that our bodies utilize water in a variety of ways, making it an

essential component of daily life because of that people can't last more than a week without drinking

water which is vital for us to survive with that. As we all know, water refilling stations are now

everywhere. Through the business that has been implemented we wanted to serve those particular areas

we want, especially to the location we choose because they also need this kind of business to exist there

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS, CONCLUSIONS, AND RECOMMENDATIONS

This chapter summarizes and synthesizes the entire contents of the feasibility study showing the

readers that the proposed business is viable. It contains 3 important parts which are, summary of findings,

conclusions and recommendations.

Summary of Findings

Businesses play a significant role in our society because they are creative, competitive activities that

continuously shape our society by meeting the needs and wants of those who are unable to satisfy them

on their own. By doing this, businesses raise the standard of living and improve people's quality of life.

To make sure that our business will expand and flourish, we need to cover a lot of areas and undertake

extensive study. Careful planning is required for strategies on how to draw in and learn about your target

market, as well as how to advertise the product.

Based on the study we conduct; our business is viable within the certain area we choose which they are

willing to support and able to patronize us. The associate of this business will continue to maintain the

business we begin with since this is all about the most important needs and wants of everyone which is

water. As we all know, drinking water is really important especially in our healthy lifestyle because

drinking water can prevent dehydration and maintain the balance of fluid in our body. That’s why this

business has been conducted for the sake of everybody, with that as you can see this being made

throughout on it with process and production that showed to be well maintained in order to give the

customers good quality, safe and clean drinking along with given services we had.
To guarantee that everything runs without difficulties and with efficiency, competent business

management is required. Each individual should only be given an equal way to create balancing tasks

with care in order to prevent any issues. For management purposes, it is possible for the general

partnership to have great member agreement regarding within the fair share contribution of each

individual. On the other hand, the company has implemented the optimum form of corporate ownership

as well as the required management needs to operate the company successfully. It makes sense that the

business is technically operating well and maintaining the cleanliness and safety standard for the business

in order to provide excellent customer service because the main operational component of this business is

water, which it produces and distributes with great process and quality for everyone to drink. Financially

speaking, the ability of the finances to support what is best for the production demonstrates the business's

flexibility in managing the firm's finances. The fact that the financial statements showed favorable results

in profitability, liquidity, and solvency is another item that demonstrates the viability of the organization.

Finally, the offered product and business have demonstrated that they are abiding by the pertinent social

and economic obligations for socio-economic reasons.

Conclusions

The business study's proponents have concluded that the project is viable and has the potential to

develop the Aqua Prime Water Refilling Station within the TBCC, Tubod Lanao Del Norte. Moreover,

starting a water refilling station is one of the easiest businesses to start up but based on what we see

through this study, well it has a lot of process and important details to do in order to succeed and grow

this kind of business. Also, the proponents conclude by saying that starting a business is challenging since

there are a lot of variables to consider before claiming to be making money, and it involves advance

planning, business knowledge, financial resources, and an understanding of ethical business procedures.

There are many dynamic factors to consider, all of which are in your control as the business owner. Based

on the analysis from collected data, we disclose that many of the families within a certain community and
neighborhood are interested within our product and services we propose, which is the water refilling

station. Additionally, in the particular location we choose, we take this opportunity to make profit because

it's not enough to provide by serving and offering good quality, safe drinking water through refilling their

jugs, gallons, bottles and even they can buy from us at an affordable and cheap price within the vicinity.

Therefore, this study is a hundred percent feasible because not just for us as the business owner who can

gain a profit but one of the important things here is for the target market which is that every family of the

community and neighborhood can benefit through the giving strategies we offer and serve them well.

Recommendations

Now, we recommend anyone who wants to start a business to do so after carefully planning all of the

risks involved. This will help you be more prepared for them as time goes on. It is essential to first

examine whether the goods you intend to offer will be marketable, affordable, and most importantly,

whether they will be valued by the community where we establish a business. Furthermore, in order to

truly focus on that issue, it is preferable to have a thorough understanding of what people genuinely

desire. For whatever type of business, we intend to establish, having a solid investment is also crucial.

The proponents recommend that those people who want to start a comparable business must first carry

out a feasibility study to determine whether the venture is possible in the chosen location. Then, as

planning to adopt this business must employ the required and acceptable process, production, as well as

the flow of labor, taking the right equipment into consideration in order to have excellent water quality

within this business. Make a good promotional strategy that will aid in promoting the business by looking

for creative and affordable ways to connect with the customers while fostering priceless goodwill and also

to surpass your competitors, that's why it is better to come up with a good strategy for it.. The business

must be concrete in terms of the manufacturing process for easier and faster production. Most importantly

is that they should learn to prioritize the customer above all else, ensure their comfort and pleasure,

deliver timely services, charge reasonable prices, and most importantly, develop a friendly relationship
with them because if you don't, they'll bring their family and friends and that will be another source of

customers.
