Module: 6th Sem Final Project
Project Brief
Option 1 Tasks :
● Make and Present a Pre Production Document - Outline what you’ll be doing for the 2 tracks -
Themes, musical styles. Instruments or vocals to be recorded/sampled, recording artists,
equipment and recording process, lyrical theme if relevant. Also state tentative schedule plan
for composing, recording, final arrangement, mixing and Commitment for 1st and 2nd Reviews
respectively.
● Feature at least 1 sampled instrument / track made from a self recorded sound source.
● Per song, at least 1 creative application each for Synthesis, Sampling, Automation, MIDI
programming.
● Make a Preproduction Document and present it along with a video clip to be pre-approved by
Faculty. Brief to outline: Scene by scene - music in/out points (share screenshot in
arrangement view.) Excel Tracker sheet with - Scenes number | BGM Start / End time | Mood |
Style of Music | Status. Instruments or vocals to be recorded/sampled, Recording Artists.
Share the thought process behind all musical choices. Commitment for 1st and 2nd reviews.
● Scope for music making should be 6 minutes or greater. Get a clip approved from your project
guide during Pre Production Pitch.
● Avoid excessive use of premade loops (consult reviewer before doing so)..
Notes:
1. You may use Ableton,Logic and/or Protools to work on your project.
2. Follow studio booking protocol.
Deliverables: Respective Audio/Video Files to be Submitted. Project File should be shared upon
request as a Compressed Zip File.
