Executive Summary

The Times of India is an English-language morning daily newspaper published in Mumbai,

Ahmadabad, Delhi, Vadodara, etc. It is one of India’s most influential papers, and its voice has
frequently coincided with that of the national government.

As a Marketing and Sales Intern, my work mainly revolves around increasing readership and
customers for the company. According, throughout the last month of my internship I had been
continuously working on tasks such as spreading awareness, generating new customers,
convincing people, and meeting other important people such as Chartered accountants, CEOs,
managing directors, managers etc so that they buy the TOI subscriptions.

Throughout these two months, I got an opportunity to hone my marketing skills as well as an
opportunity to meet different corporate people. I got to figure out how to persuade an individual
to purchase your item, you ought to continuously have a propensity for listening more and
talking less, being a salesman a propensity for listening no. It was a great opportunity for growth
as it was far not the same as the thought which I conveyed about promoting and deals.

Also, the more I continued and pushed myself to my limits the more opportunities grew to
sharpen my communication skills and push me to take responsibility and be more self-aware
about things and how to approach a potential target.

Accordingly, I can close by saying that I had astounding capability and personal growth
significant entryways all through my brief work.

The climate of the Organization
The Times of India has an astoundingly direct culture with the least strategies and rules. The
coordinators behind the association have little to no faith in obsessing about the delegates by
persistently keeping watch on them using CCTVs or various progressions that gigantic
associations use. They keep up with that the association ought to be work-driven and at the
same time be entertaining to work at.
The association has a level progressive development, wherein any specialist is allowed to push
toward the business head or the individual promoters concerning any objections or
considerations they could have. The shortfall of coordinated and extreme plans has ensured
that the association encourages a more familial culture with everyone holding and sharing the
essential convictions and convictions.
The association is really versatile to work pressure, deadlines, or the timings of the delegates.
The excellent allies believe that as long as they don't keep a strong hold on the specialists
concerning when they come or go, the genuine delegates will take commitment and not misuse
this open door. They need to make the association more agent driven instead of work-driven.
The association appreciates and maintains the specialists to contribute their measures of
energy and contemplations.

Weekly report summary
In the first week we were given training sessions where we learned everything about the
company and were delighted upon what we exactly have to do. We were told about the
company and how it works and about the product we were going to work with as well.
We were provided a training session out in the field with our senior interns from Bhopal which
was kind of overwhelming in the heat and communication barrier.
After our mock training for a sales person, we were allowed in the field and were taken to new
locations everyday so we can pitch and sell the newspaper subscription.
In the fourth week I was allotted as leader which sharpened my communication and leadership
skills. However, I failed to obtain any gold medals which maybe from my lack of motivation in
the last week.
In between we were taken on an industrial visit with our senior interns where we learned about
German technology used for printing the newspapers daily and how distribution works around
Vadodara, Surat and Ahmedabad.
We were treated with lunch by our manager as a farewell party and that is how we concluded
our internship.

Conclusion
Everything starts with the capacity to give valuable content. Data comes from many sources
today and individuals are overflowed to a purpose in being overpowered. One can separate by
digging further into basic stories, taking out the fine subtleties that make the biggest difference
to your readership, while zeroing in on neighbourhood intrigues that keep individuals
associated. In the event that the newspaper is an organization for the local area, these extra
thoughts can be executed.
