I can see three pictures in connection with the topic of eating out.

The first photo describes a

school canteen as the students are wearing uniforms. They are sitting at the desks, eating
lunch and talking to each other. The second photo illustrates a traditional restaurant with
elegantly decorated tables, but I can’t see any guests or waiters. The third photo depicts some
young people sitting in a fast food restaurant and having fun.
The school canteen looks dark and not very attractive while the traditional restaurant is
certainly a brighter and more romantic place. In contrast, the brightest venue is the fast food
restaurant as the walls are vivid and a huge window can be seen on the right side of the
picture. The restaurants in photo 1 and 3 are much livelier and crowded, but also noisier than
the one in photo 2. It’s probably because of the friendlier atmosphere and cheaper meals of
the two informal restaurants.
The formal venue in photo 2 is definitely an expensive and posh place which provides higher-
quality food, of course for higher prices. Judging by the elegant furniture there is probably a
dress code, it is required to dress up and wear smart clothes. Right now the restaurant seems
to be closed, but I am sure this place is calm and peaceful when it is open as well. It might be
the favourite place of rich people. The people who can’t afford this expensive restaurant
would choose the fast food restaurant. It is the favourite place of young students, even if the
meals are mostly unhealthy and fattening. There is probably always a big crowd, I can
imagine that sometimes there aren’t even vacant seats, but still the food is certainly more
delicious than in a school canteen, where students can’t even choose what to eat. Judging by
the big crowd the students are spending their lunch break.
If me and my family had to choose a venue between these three restaurant types, we would
definitely choose a traditional restaurant. They are maybe expensive and a bit too formal, but
on the other hand, they provide a wide range of delicious meals. The last time my family ate
out was about two weeks ago. It was my cousin’s school-leaving ceremony and my close
family and the distant relatives came together to celebrate. We chose a traditional restaurant in
the centre of Szombathely, named Pannónia. The place was elegantly decorated, there weren’t
a lot of other guests therefore it was quiet. It was probably the best venue we could choose.
After we arrived the waitresses brought us the meals immediately. Both the soup and the main
meal were delicious, but my favourite part was the dessert. A plenty of various cakes were
served for us, including my favourites. After the lunch we spent our time talking to the
relatives we hardly ever, only during these special occasions see. At the end of the day, we
left the restaurant with the enjoyable feeling that we had a very good time.
