REVIEW- HOTEL

DURING the summer break. I was in Spain, in Barcelona, on a trip with my classmates,
as I am a student and my teacher had organized an excursion in / DURING the summer
break. I really liked it from many points of view.

I stayed in a three stars ( 3 ESTE DEJA PL) hotel which was highly recommended for
big GROUPS ??, like ours. I shared the room, one-bedroom suite, with another two
colleagues. On the one hand, the cleanING service did its job great / A GREAT JOB, and
the appearance was beautiful, with new and modern pieces of furniture and TV. The hotel’s
design was excellent: amazing decor and a luxurious atmosphere. The food was really great!
I have nothing to complain about it! Besides the usual dishes that we can eat everywhere,
there was also served traditional food like paella, seafood and many others WERE ALSO
SERVED !

On the other hand, it had a lot of entertaining programs for the little ones in the front
side of the hotel, and in the other ?? THE OTHER WHAT??? there was music, disco lights
and a stage, speakers and microphones for karaoke for people our age. There were 2
swimming pools, for adults and for children, but I preferred to go to the beach, that was
only 5 minutes from the hotel.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel, with nothing to complain about! I’m sure I’ll return
next summer!

Travelling by car or using public transport

In my opinion, travelling by car is as convenient as using public transport. Every means

of transport has advantages and disadvantages.

On the one hand, it is way /MUCH cheaper to use public transportation to get
somewhere than it is to buy your own vehicle. Using public transport is much less taxing on
the environment compared to private vehicles. Since a lot of people can ride the same
vehicle, ( CAR POOLING) the pollution is lower.

On the other hand, it is more comfortable to use your own car. First of all, because you
can get straight to the destination without changing several means of transport, and it is
much more convenient, especially when the weather is bad. Secondly, if you go by car you
can be sure that you can’t get any illness from other people on the bus or from touching
the seats and bus bar.

Consequently, both public transport and car are useful. Everyone can choose one, which
he preferS, now and in the future.

Young people want to dress differently from their parents

In the last decades, the styles of dressing have changed a lot. Obviously, the clothes of
30 years ago are no longer fashionable now, and that is why people dress differentLY from
their parents.

On the one hand, the majority of THE people nowadays follow the basic fashion for this
period of time. Because our parents are much older than us, they lived also in the previous
clothing style and some of them are used to that kind of dressing. That’s why the
garments that we, teenagers, think are “cool”, for them they are not FOR THEM. That
makes the difference between a parent and his child S appearance.

On the other hand, there are parents who advice / ADVISE their child to dress IN a
certain way, as they want AND CONSIDER FIT, and the child gets used to that type of
style and continues to dress like that and to be influenced by his/hers parents / CU
APOSTROF , G . PLURAL) opinion.

The style you have or how you dress can be influenced by the parents or not. It depends
on your character, that’s why they say that how you dress reflects your attitude.
Dear Mrs Connor,

I would like to apply for one of your jobs in your USA summer camps during summer, which
I saw advertised in an international magazine.

At present I am a student at/ IN high school. We have 2 classes of English a week so I

have a reasonable command of English. I regret I don’t have experience of
working /WORKING EXPERIENCE, but I can quickly learn how to do my job.

Even THOUGH I have no previous experience, I think I am the right person for this. I feel
I will be suitable for this job since I am very keen on working with kids and also an
energetic and cheerful person. I do love children, I much enjoy spending time with them. I
also have a little sister and I get along very well with her. My parents always left her in my
care when they went somewhere and they had great confidence that I would pay attention
to her. That made me very attentive with little kids, and also serious and organized. I can
quickly and detailed / MINUTELY arrange the sport activities for those little children.

I also like to cook. I usually help my mother and grandmother in the kitchen so I will be
helpful in the field of cooking. I am organized and would like to arrange sportS activities
and other things like that. I also have a lot of free time on / DURING my summer break
which I want to spend usefully.

I would very much appreciate the chance to express myself in an interview.
