Forward Pass

No need here to perform a Forward Pass cause the improvement resulted in the first place from moving
activities “H” and “I”. Although, activity “I” didn’t improve the resource profile, it can’t be moved back cause
the best move for “H” was 3 days (2 days = FF of 1 day + BF of 1 day resulted from moving “I”).

Problem (3)

To break the tie between two potential moves, use the following heuristic rules in the
shown order:
1. Move the activity that consumes more resources,
2. Move the activity that creates larger BF for the preceding activities to utilize, or
3. Move the activity with the latest start date in the backward pass.

Backward Pass [Cont’d]

Here B is not moved although they resulted in unchanged moment because its
movement will not create useful back float for a predecessors

Forward Pass

No need here to perform a Forward Pass cause the improvement resulted in the first
place from moving activities “K”
