1. Compare the social impacts of different media in globalization.

● Print Media
- It sped up literary change and reduced book prices so that more people could afford to buy
them. Also,
This resulted in a sharp rise in literacy rates. The invention of printing altered interpersonal
communication and social interactions.
● Broadcast Media
- As broadcast media is under or within mass media, it can be said that their uses and impacts
on globalization are typically the same. They allow transparency of information between
countries thereby breaking a lot of cultural barriers or cultural differences and
misunderstanding with them. This in turn creates a lot of opportunity for people to
communicate and interact with each other which is a driving force of the creation of social
networks.
● Mass Media
- With worldwide television programming, new technology, film, and music, the mass media
are now recognized as being crucial in advancing globalization and fostering cultural
interaction as well as numerous flows of information and images across nations.
● Social Media
- Social media is helping to bridge the gaps between countries, allowing us to learn more
about different cultures and decrease stereotyping, leading to better relationships. In fact, a
recent study found that social media has helped improve relationships with other countries by
making them more transparent.to put it simply, globalization allows gaining information
about different cultures by connecting with people from all over the world through social
media platforms

1. Define responsible media consumption.

● It encompasses pursuits like using new media, reading periodicals and books, watching
movies and television, and listening to the radio. A person who actively consumes media
must be able to think critically, freely, and with an open mind. There are different ways to
practice responsible social media consumption. Examples of this are by checking the source
of the information, it’s a good idea to be cautious of any opinion you read about recent issues.
If anything seems strange, trust your instinct, and verify the source of the information. Also,
it is important to think twice before you spread said information because every kind of
information may be instantly communicated thanks to social media. We have the resources at
our disposal to keep current, but we also have the power to hurt people with our words. We
may all benefit from developing the practice of pausing before sharing news or opinion on
current events.
