Part 3: Write a composition (about 270 words):

Nowadays, more and more students choose to study abroad for their higher education. Do the
benefits outweigh the problems associated with it? Give reasons for your answer and include
any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience. (Do not include your personal
information)

Nowadays, students are having many opportunities on deciding a place for their education. Although
in the past when teenagers did their university degree they preferred to do in their home country,
studying abroad as an undergraduate or postgraduate has become very famous in today's world. It
can be as a result of different factors. Thus, the essay will examine whether the disadvantages
overrides the advantages.

The exposure an international student receives is a critical benefit. He or she has firsthand
familiarity with other people's culture and habits, which benefits such individual's expertise. It also
broadens one's circle of acquaintances and contacts. Contacts who may be of significant assistance
in the future, if not immediately. Another advantage of studying abroad is knowledge with the
country's educational system. It is crucial to recognize that educational systems and standards differ
by location. As a result, learning in a foreign country will broaden one's horizons. More so, the high
regard given to an individual who has an international certificate when he or she returns home, is
nothing compared to those who studied locally even if they are on the same educational level,
especially, when seeking a job.

Although the benefits listed above are significant, some will argue otherwise. Some would argue
that the cost of the school tuition is quite expensive and that selling houses and taking out loans is
not worth it. However, it is critical to understand that sponsoring education is not inexpensive,
whether in one's own nation or in another. That is why the adage "if you think education is
expensive, try stupidity" should always ring true in the minds of such people. Furthermore, some
may say that one disadvantage of studying abroad is that the learner would be away from home and
may lose contact with friends and family.

To summarize, learning in a country other than the learner's own country has become popular in
today's world. This might be connected to the realization that the benefits outweigh the drawbacks.

Part 2: Write a description of the graph (120 words) showing the numbers of visitors to
Victoria Park, Botanical Garden and Sandown Zoo from 2000 to 2008, commenting on the
reasons for each increase or decrease in numbers.

The line graph depicts the number of visits to Victoria Park, Botanical Garden, and Sandown Zoo
between 2000 and 2008, as well as some plausible causes.

Overall, the Sandown Zoo and Victoria Park see a rise in visits, while the Botanical Gardens see a
reduction.

Sandown Zoo had the most visitors (60,000) in 2000, followed by Botanical Gardens (roughly
50,000) and Victoria Park (around 22,000). After a 10,000 reduction over the next two years,
Sandown Zoo's population steadily increased to 70,000 in 2007. It had then risen significantly to
100,000 by 2008, possibly as a result of the 2007 launch of the Children's Zoo. There were minor
alterations to Victoria Park between 2000 and 2005. The Boating Lake in Victoria Park debuted in
2005, which might result in an increase of 15,000 visits over the next three years.

In comparison, although reaching a high of almost 70,000 in 2003, the number of visitors to
Botanical Gardens has fallen to less than 50,000 by 2008.
