THE PROBLEM

Statement of the Problem

This study aims to determine the utilization of ICT resources in teaching reading at Pili

West District, Pili Camarines Sur. More specifically, the research was conducted to answer to

the following questions:

1. What is the teachers’ profile in terms:

a. age

b. sex

c. educational attainment

d. length of service

e. computer trainings attended

f. computer application in teaching

g. ownership of a computer/ laptop

h. number of hours of computer usage per week

2. What is the level of utilization of ICT resources at Pili West District, Pili, Camarines

Sur?

3. What is the number of Full Refreshers or Non- readers in Pili West District, Pili,

Camarines Sur?

4. Is there a significant relationship between the utilization of ICT resources and the

number of Full Refreshers or Non-readers?


5. What intervention plan may be proposed to decrease Full Refreshers or non-readers?
