PRELIM PERFORMANCE TASK 2

Make a reflection between Cognitivism and Behaviorism and cite some theorist
relative on this then expound your answer by giving example scenario from the
classroom.

- The most significant distinction between behaviorist and cognitive learning

viewpoints is that behaviorism focuses on explaining things by outward behavior
or something that can be observed. Cognitivism is more concerned with cognitive
functions such as decision-making and remembering. When a teacher is deciding
whether or not a way of teaching is effective, these two views are critical. Various
students and grades will have different learning behaviors, thus as an educator,
you must employ these strategies to best fit your class. It's critical to incorporate
these learning perspectives into classroom training about Albert Bandura's notion
that all environmental, personal, and behavioral aspects are intertwined. The
benefit of this theory is that it clearly identifies the types of behavior that will be
seen in the classroom. One reason why one student may perform very well while
another may act very badly is that their parents are more loving than neglectful.
What's crucial here is that, just because the good student has grown up to be a
decent person, it's important to understand why the misbehaving child is
misbehaving.

- The teacher's job in the classroom is to figure out how well your students are
progressing and what makes learning simple for them. One teaching approach
will not suffice year after year; various children learn in different ways each year,
and it is the responsibility of the teachers to figure this out. Social cognitive ideas
are present in my personal beliefs about the roles of teacher, peers, and
students. I enjoy the idea of pupils learning and communicating after each other.
When a student doesn't grasp how to complete an assignment or task correctly,
working together might help them improve their study habits and communication.
What matters to me is that, while that strategy works best for me as an incoming
teacher after a year, it may not work for other kids. So, when I teach in the future,
I intend to experiment with various ways and theories to see which atmosphere
the students like. My auntie is a principal/college professor, and she has told me
about times when children from low-income families behaved out. Then she
noticed that many of the children lacked a mother figure, so she became a good
role model and developed a connection with them, and believe it or not, she has
helped to turn the lives of many children around for the better.
