KPMG in Botswana invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the following
position:

TAX
Trainee - Tax

Reporting to the Tax Advisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Preparation of engagement documents and client files
• Preparation of corporate income tax returns and tax computations
• Managing the tax compliance process of clients ensuring that all deadlines are met for various tax heads
such as PAYE, OWHT, VAT, CIT etc.
• Facilitating Botswana Unified Revenue Service (BURS) tax audits as applicable.
• Checking of assessments and reporting thereon.
• Attending to queries from BURS.
• Processing payroll for KPMG clients.
• Assist in providing tax advisory services to clients.
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with BURS representatives.
• Establish and maintain sound working relationships with client counterparts.

Qualifications and experience required for the role:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Advanced Taxation or equivalent.

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a tax related environment
• Ability to research, analyse and interpret tax legislation
