JOB ADVERT SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

We are a tier 1 market leader in the SACCO industry located in Nairobi and offering FOSA services to our
members. As part of our growth strategy, we are looking to hire qualified personnel to fill the position of Senior
Accountant.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Investments
• Prepare and submit to the Finance Manager a comprehensive Investment Proposal document on
monthly basis.
• Continuously monitoring of the existing investments and advise the Finance Manager on the
appropriate action to the taken.
• Monitor the cashflow status and advise of investments that needs to be done.

Reporting and Compliance

• Prepare Monthly Financial Reports and the Analysis relating to the reports by 5th day of the following
month.
• File Sasra Monthly Returns by 8th day of the following month.
• Prepare Weekly Report by Close of Day, Monday the following week.
• Prepare and file Unclaimed Financial Authority Fund return.

Supervisory
• Approval of transactions done by the Assistant Accountants and Accountants

Finance and Analysis

• Preparation of monthly projections on cash flow projections and ensure healthy working capital for
day to day running of the business.
• Monitoring spending, costs and budgets and provide reports on the performance on weekly/monthly
basis.
• Perform monthly revenue assurance and generate a revenue assurance report.
• Generate the Trial balance on daily basis and report on any Ledgers that is not accurate.

Clients Relations Roles

• Loan Disbursement within the SLA
• Ensuring efficient flow of information to and from members and other stakeholders; Banks,
Investments firms and other related parties
• Responsible for customer relations and maintaining the SACCO’s image.
• Promote an environment founded on Safaricom SACCO values of Customer focus, Integrity, reliability
and Innovation.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Degree in a Business-related course from a recognized institution.

• A holder of CPA Final certification and ICPAK membership

EXPERIENCE:
• At least 5 years’ relevant experience in the Financial Service Industry.
