POSITION : 1X MANAGER: ASSET, FLEET AND LOGISTICS TASK GRADE : 16 SALARY : R782 297.00 – R863 510.00 PER ANNUM DURATION : PERMANENT MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: • Matric plus a three-year degree in B Com Accounting. • Articles will be added advantage. • 05 years of experience in Asset Management or External Auditing. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS • Implementing and managing the Asset Management Policy, and ensuring adequate internal control systems and procedures are implemented. • Ensuring the Asset Register is properly and accurately compiled and reconciled to the General Ledger in terms of good accounting practice i.e. GRAP. • Managing the compilation of disposals of assets according to the Supply Chain Management Act. • Verifying and ensuring that Council Assets are secured, insured and reconciled with fixed asset register against insurance reports. • Monitoring control measures in respect of the application of relevant instructions with regards to institutional control assets, inventory and stores. • Monitoring the implementation and exercise control over system to optimize the usage and utilization of vehicles and drivers in consultation with the immediate supervisor. • Monitoring and reporting misuse and abuse of the municipal vehicles. • Collecting, collating and analysing information relating to various asset groups and developing Key Performance indicators to support the establishment and maintenance of the programme. • Conducting appraisals to measure performance and objective accomplishments against agreed targets, reviewing goals and setting new objectives. • Analysing statistical information pertaining to staff attendance /absenteeism, overtime, lost time due to accidents, incidents, downtime and proposing specific remedial measures aimed at improving productivity and reducing personnel related costs. • Assists in the preparation of Annual Financial Statements. • Implement Audit Action Plan.
