The student wrote a reflection on the importance of vaccination, particularly during the COVID-19 surge. They state that as students, getting vaccinated protects our health and prevents illness, allowing us to spend time with family and friends without risk of infection or hospitalization. The student also notes that vaccination benefits the wider community by helping to end the pandemic and return to normal activities like in-person school and socializing, highlighting how individual vaccination contributes to herd immunity for public safety.

TEACHER: MA’AM RAQUEL DE CASTRO SCORE: REFLECTION PAPER: Importance of Vaccination
As a student, why it is very important to be vaccinated?
Write a simple reflection about the importance of vaccination particularly now that we are in surge of COVID-19 cases.
As a student we don’t want to have a certain illness. It is important to protect ourselves
against these kind of illnesses particularly COVID-19. If we catch this disease we supposed to be hospitalized and more so be shared to other people, we don’t want that to happen. If we are vaccinated we can avoid getting sick and we will have a plenty time to our family and friends. Being vaccinated is not just for our sake but it is truly for everyone, being complete vaccinated can give us some peace of mind because we know that we are protected against the virus. Vaccination is really important to our health and to our community. Saving millions of people from the illness is such a high- impact effective way not to catch the virus, not just for people but also for myself. This will serve as protection and will help to strengthen my immune system. In this way, getting vaccine is genuinely helping us to recover from this ‘Pandemic’ from online work, shopping, and studying, we able to be back from what we are supposed to do. This pandemic has forced us to switch from not wearing a facemask to must wear a facemask. Little by little we can change the way we used to do, it is important to really think the possible outcome if everyone is fully vaccinated and not having the virus which is the effort of people must be committed and help each other to raise awareness for our safety.
