Week 1

Day 1:

Introduction:

Ice breaking activity 1

This ice breaking

activity will help us
know each other’s
name. Each child will
write their name on
the piece of puzzle and
decorate it (using
colours, markers)
(creative skills)

Later students will try

and put the puzzle
together. This will help
them to work as a
team. This piece of
work will be then put
under the heading "We
need all the pieces to
make a great classroom”
Ice breaking activity 2

In this activity students will go

fishing, which will lets us get to
know each other further more.
Once a student catches a fish
they will read out the question
and everyone in the class
answer the question by using
creative skills and draw their
answer in the football
template. Like the one shown
below:
Day 2:

Essential agreements

Students will not only watch but will sing and dance with the video and
later reflect on post its.

will be discussed
thoroughly.

be in school or outside)

Activity: To check
student’s prior
knowledge about
numbers each group
will be given a sand box
with hidden numbers in it. They will look for the numbers and call it out
once they find a number.
Day 3:

Provocation activity:

An octopus will be
pasted on the board.

Students will be told to

come one by one and
identify the number
written on each cup and
then place the right
number of pom poms in the cup.

Followed by:

A simple worksheet to be done in which each student will count and

record.
