object and the component of the force parallel to the
displacement.
❖ It is a scalar quantity.
❖ Unit= J/Joules

Energy

❖ Ability to do work.

Potential Energy

❖ Energy at rest/stored energy.

Electrical Potential Energy

Describes how much stored energy a charge has when moved
by an electrostatic force.
