Question 1: Define input and output device with their types?

Answer: Input device:                                                                                              Input device is any


hardware components to allow user to enter data into computer.

Example:keyboard, mic, camers, scanner, pointing device, game control,data entry device, joystick
and microphone.

Types: There are two tpyes of input device:

1:Manual input device

2: Direct input device

Manual input device: are used by people to enter data by hand, keyboard, mouse, touchpad,
joystick and graphics table.

Direct input device: are touch screen, light pen, vioce recongition system, optical scanner, track ball
and barcode reader.

2: Output device:                                                                                              An output device is any


hardware device used to send data from a computer to another device or user.                                     
                                                         OR.                                                 A device used to display the result
after processing is called output.

Examples: monitor, printer, speakers, projector, text, graphics, tactile, headphone, sound card, video
card, GPS device and braille reader.

Types: There are four bacis types of output device:

1:Audio

2:Video

3: Text graphics

4:computer output microfilm(COM)

Question 2:Define hardware and software with their example?

Answer: 1:Hardware:                                                                                               refers to the computer


tangible components or delivery system that store and run the written instruction provided by the
software.

 Examples: mouse,moniter,printer, CPU,mother board,hard drive,power supply,network


card,modem,floppy disk drive and optical drive.
2: Software:                                                                                                is a set of instruction data or
programs used to operate computers and execute specific task.

Examples:application software, system software,firmware,programming software,freeware,share


ware,open source software,closed source software and utility software.

Question 3:Difference between hardware and software?

Answer: Hardware:

1:Hardware refers to the physical components of the computer that can be touch or seen.                 
            2: Hardware wears out over time.                                     3:Hardware is tangible.                           
                         4: Example: key board, mouse, monitor, RAM, ROM and CPU.

                    Software:                                                          1: Software refers to the set of insturction


written using various programming language that help control hardware.                                               
                2:Software does not wear out over time but can be affected by bugs or glitches.                 
                          3:Software is intangible.                                                     4: Example: window OS, linux,
word excel, power point etc.
