A. Why the inhumane treatment of a state over its people can no longer be
considered as an exclusive concern of such state in the globalization era?
Explain.
I disagree with the statement. In my opinion, the well-being of the people should always be an
exclusive concern, be it with regards to globalization or not. Although it is undeniable that
globalization have and will continue to greatly influence the development of the State, it is
without a doubt that the human capital will always be an utmost need. While it is important to
develop technologies in order to be globally competitive, all these technological advancement
would be of no use if there will be no people to operate them. As a State, it’s primary goal is to
provide an environment for its people to flourish and not to maltreat, for after all, as Stated in
the 1987 Philippine Constitution of the Philippines, there can be no State without people whom
the government will govern.

B. Explain the personal benefits you gain from globalization.

Globalization has an incredible amount of benefits. But we, as a people are the ones who benefit most
from it. I, as a student and a citizen of the Philippines gain benefits from globalization. One of which is
access to information. With the continuous development of not just the Philippines but also of the whole
world, gaining information became easier. With the use of internet, I can easily access sites which have
been helpful to me as a student. I am aware of the recent happenings from all over the world. It is
easier for me to gain new knowledge with the help of globalization. Not only can I gather information,
but also, I can share the same. With the use of internet, I can post on social media platforms such as
Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter, my opinions. Globalization made it easier for citizens such as myself,
to have a voice in the community I am living in. Another benefit is that the public market had expanded.
I can easily get my hands on various products be it locally-made or foreign-made products. With
globalization products of foreign countries are easily imported in the Philippines. Same goes with our
local products being imported abroad .
