1. Globalization - It is about advancement or development in various aspects for

example in economics technology production etc. which aims to facilitate the lives of
every human being

2. Contemporary - It refers to the modernization either with regard to technology,

methods, customs or whatever is existing or happening now.

3. Contemporary World - It refers to the modern era where everyone is dependent on

technology and technology is everywhere. It is also is that I am paired with a rude
world that no one cares about the future because they only think what make they
happy.

4. Philosophy - It is a study in which to understand the underlying things in the world so

that we can fully understand and give answer to those.

5. Dimension- It refers to having a boundary over things. For example in the use of
technology it is important that we have a limit or boundary so that we can still be
productive and avoid the destruction of other things as well.

1. What would be the working definition of globalization for your course?

maybe the possible connection of globalization in my course regarding

culture and arts is as globalization also refers to modernization based on my own
over view maybe due to the demand of the world today and in the interest of the
people of this era so we need to learn on how we are going to teach the cultural
traditions and arts of our past based on how and what is in the interest of the
society today we need to learn to incorporate the technology in your chosen
profession so that we can still get the interest of the people today’s full of
distractions.

2. Identify two (2) paragraphs on the underlying philosophy of globalization.

 The globalization can generates many benefits that we are cannot be seen of it
all because we tend to focused on giving a doubt and criticizing of it without a
further thinking that it really can help us to have a successful and industrialized or
developed country, which leads to we are not going in other country for us to seek
work with a high-wages because we can now sustain and satisfy the needs of the
rich and the poor people.

3. What is the importance of studying globalization?

It is very important for us to study globalization so that we know the good

it brings and the bad it can bring to our society. So that we can use those
knowledge so that we set boundary in order for us not to abuse it and to avoid the
evils it can cause in various aspects in our community and society.

4. When was the beginning of the contemporary world?

Based on what I research the period is generally said to have begun in the
latter half of the 20th century, though the particular date varies. The term began
its use around the late 1980s and early 1990s, and has been used up to the present
with the availability of the Internet.

5. Why is the word “Globalization” given emphasis or importance in today’s

contemporary world? Explain.

One reason I see is because in our time modernization is so fast you imagine
every day there are things are being discovered and I believe many more
inventions and inventions will be discovered over the days months and years. Our
time today is the time of innovation and discovery many things have been
discovered that make people's lives easier and many also can cause harm to
everyone so it is very important to focus on it so that it should be control so that
everything will be balanced.

6. As a member of Generation Z, what is the effect of globalization to you, to

your family, in your school and in the society?

As a youth in the modern era we have today I see great potential for us
because we seem to have been shaped by the forces of globalization, which is
easier for us makes society more connected and dependent in terms of economic
integration, communication exchange, cultural diffusions, and travel. And it
serves us our weapon to fight and face the modern and integrated challenges of
the contemporary world. but among the elderly it seems very difficult for them to
keep up with the demand of today’s time they seem to be being displaced from
the job of production and service industry because there are already those who
are younger and more equitable to the demands of today's industry. In school,
they will probably be affected because it is very important for them to upgrade
and integrate new technology in terms of office works, utility works and etc. and
especially in teaching so that they can provide quality education based on what
society demands today.

7. Does the globalization have a fair result to all countries around the world?
Explain your answer.

The globalization in other country is successful but in the other country it

cause of disaster to their country and to people themselves also. Because some of
areas to the different country in which that for them the globalization is
incomplete including to their economic range. Specifically, the migrating to the
developed country on which that they tend to go to other country to have an
increase of high-wages, and seek for the better kind of work that is high standard
that suits to their professional skills to the professionals and labor forces by the
unprofessional even if it has a difficulties. It also benefits something unequal
shared to all countries because of unequal benefit to one country to another.
According to World Commission’s final report stated that the globalization is that
the view to it is ‘critical but optimistic’ because they criticize it very well if it is
effective, but in the end there is a hope that in the future that it will may be a help
to them. The globalization is criticized by the current form of it fiercely based on
developing country and to the societies so on that criticism, the view to the
globalization is unfair, unequal, and unsustainable in which it will only benefit to
the small group of people. Even though, of all the criticism that given to it, it can
be regret if the globalization is throw away and give attention to. And also, the
public policy and economic cooperation is not adjusted sufficiently because they
are only focused on the GDP or activity of the production with this is a fitted on
globalization’s capacity to generate fair outcomes to all people in a country
especially in our country, the Philippines

8. How is the globalization affect average person?

Globalization for me is not for everyone because here there is a lot to be

sacrificed and a lot to lift but also a lot to be buried The globalization can
generates many benefits that we are cannot be seen of it all because we tend to
focused on giving a doubt and criticizing of it without a further thinking that it
really can help us to have a successful and industrialized or developed country,
which leads to we are not going in other country for us to seek work with a high-
wages because we can now sustain and satisfy the needs of the rich and the poor
people. The benefits of the globalization is the falling of poverty that the people
can buy what they want even if it is not much but at least it can satisfy the needs
of the poor people, greater access of food with a lower price which can afford of
many people, and new technologies that facilitates new ideas for the betterment of
the present up to the future.
9. Let say that you are a professional teacher and you received an offer of
teaching abroad. Would you accept it? Why or why not?

For me I will not accept the offer because many of the teachers have ventured
abroad to provide a better life for their families. I as a teacher I also dream of
giving a good life to my family but I think the future of education in the
Philippines if all our teachers go abroad our education rate may drop if that
happens maybe what the right think that I should do is to be a voice of teachers to
uphold the rights of teachers and give good opportunities to our teachers in our
country so that they dint need to venture abroad just to have high salaries and to
give them a magnificent future on their chosen profession and a better life for
their families.

10. Many people in different countries believe that life was better in the old days.
If you were given a chance, would you choose to live in the past? If any, what
are the things that you want to experience during the old days?

For me I will not go back to the past because I believe I will have a hard time
adjusting because I am used to every work there is technology to facilitate all my
tasks I just want to go back is the time that everything is still and balance that all
where the burdens of the poor are not so heavy. Because it seems now that the
burdens of the poor are the rich where the rich continue to get rich while the poor
continue to suffer.
