pre-course assignment. You may choose from any level. The level clarifications

are provided to help guide your selection.
Read your selection carefully and thoroughly, then complete the following
assignment. This assignment must be completed in its entirety and submitted
by AUGUST 15. Please make sure to follow the grading rubric. This assignment

counts as 50% of a major grade.

The other 50% of your pre-course grade will be determined by an in-class


reading quiz that you will take on Tuesday, August 16.
