Government responses themselves have pointed to these platforms’ importance.

the government passed a law to facilitate the monitoring and censorship of social

4. Name an additional example of social media being utilized to enact change in the
US. If you aren’t sure, try looking up some additional examples.

5. Compare this event to previous time periods. Give an example of technology


being used to enact political and/or social change before 1900.
Messengers would deliver, well, believe it or not messages which helped in
multiple revolutions or protests either to declare, call or, or inform people about
them.

6. Using this article as an example, explain how the development of new


technologies changed the world from 1900 to present.
In the past you would have to walk or ride a horse to deliver a message but after
the 19th century and leading into the 20th century there have been so many
upgrades to communication from the way its delivered with things like trains in
the past and cars for paper mail. Now we have things like phones which can
almost instantly send messages from across the world a feet that in the 18 th-
early19th century would have been near impossible.
