explain the rock cycle in 5 sentences

The rock cycle is a concept of geology that describes the transition of

rocks between the three rock types: igneous, sedimentary, and
metamorphic. It is a basic concept in geology that describes the time-consuming transitions
through geologic time. Rocks never remain the same, and they are always changing with time.
Rocks are constantly being recycled and going through several processes of chemical and
physical changes. There are three main rock types: Sedimentary, Metamorphic, Igneous.

2. what is the important of rocks in the society?

Rocks have a broad range of uses that makes them significantly

important to human life. For instance, rocks are used in construction, for
manufacturing substances and making medicine and for the production
of gas. Rocks are very important to mankind because they are one of
the best sources of fuel and power.

Fossil fuels are made from decomposing plants and animals. Fossil

fuels include coal, petroleum, natural gas, oil shales, bitumens, tar sands,
and heavy oils.  fossil fuel is a hydrocarbon-containing material formed naturally in the
Earth's crust from the remains of dead plants and animals that is extracted and burned
as a fuel.
Geothermal energy is the thermal energy in the Earth's crust which originates from the
formation of the planet and from radioactive decay of materials in currently uncertain but
possibly roughly equal proportions. Geothermal
energy is heat that is
generated within the Earth. It is a renewable resource that can be
harvested for human use.
Hydropower, or hydroelectric power, is a renewable source of
energy that generates power by using a dam or diversion structure
to alter the natural flow of a river or other body of water it relies on
the endless, constantly recharging system of the water cycle to
produce electricity Hydropower utilizes turbines and generators to
convert that kinetic energy into electricity, which is then fed into the
electrical grid to power homes, businesses, and industries.
Wind energy, or wind power, is created using a wind turbine, a device
that channels the power of the wind to generate electricity. The wind
blows the blades of the turbine, which are attached to a rotor. The
rotor then spins a generator to create electricity.
Solar energy is any type of energy generated by the sun.
Solar energy is created by nuclear fusion that takes place in the sun.
Fusion occurs when protons of hydrogen atoms violently collide in
the sun’s core and fuse to create a helium atom.
Oceans, ponds, lakes, rivers, springs, aquifers, and streams are some of the main water
sources in the world. All these sources are essential for people’s well-being. Yet, our
freshwater resources are dwindling at an alarming rate. water scarcity is one
of the leading challenges for sustainable development. This challenge will
become more pressing as the world's population continues to grow, their living
standards increase, diets change and the effects of climate change intensify.
There are several different ways minerals can be extracted from the earth, but the two main
methods are called surface mining and subsurface mining. Mining is a process in which minerals
buried in the rocks or under the surface of the Earth are taken out. Surface mining is a form
of mining in which the soil and the rock covering the mineral deposits are removed. Subsurface
mining is a mining method in which soil and rocks are removed to reach
underlying coal or minerals. It leads to loss of biodiversity or landscape and
habitual destruction, soil erosion, pollution especially air pollution, destruction
of agricultural land, contamination of water etc.
