The number of students choosing to live on campus was the highest throughout the period,
rising from just under 50 percent in 2000 to above 50 percent in 2010.
Percentage of students who prefer to live in a shared flat grew steadily from 15 percent to
over 40 percent at the end of the period in question. Over the past decade, the percentage
has almost doubled.
The percentage of those who choose to live with their parents fell from 35 percent in 1990 to
5 percent in 2010
To sum up, although campus life was still the most popular in 2010, the gap between
students who want to live on campus and students who want to live in a shared flat had
narrowed considerably in 20 years. The percentage of students choosing to live with parents
fell steadily during the period in question.
