The line graph compares the number of students applying to four different universities name
the University of Lakewood, Atherton School, Alstead College, and Lindslade University
between 1980 and 2010.

Overall, it can be clearly seen that the University of Lakewood witnessed a downward trend
during the span of 30 years while the figures for the three remaining colleges increased in
general. Of all the school, Atherton University remained the most popular among the four
colleges surveyed with over 6000 students.

Starting off at 4500 and 2400 applications in 1980, the number of applicants received by the
university of Atherton and Alstead underwent a significant rise in the following 30 years and
finished in at over 6000 and 4000 applications respectively, which were the highest numbers
in 2010. Between the two, Alstead university have a more fluctuated rise with a period of
stability from 1985 to 1995 and a fall in the year 2000 starting a slow descend. Another
school is Lindslade College which went up and down erratically but overall ended with a
slight increase to 3000 students in 2010. On a downward trend between 1980 and 2010 is the
university of Lakewood, it started off as the most desired university but over the years
slowly decline to only 2500 aspirants becoming the least favored.

The line graph indicates the number of students picking up a different languages in a university in UK

over the course of 25 years, this includes languages like French, Spainish, German, Chinese, Polish,

and Arab.

In total, the two most choosen languages in 1990 are French and German but there are some

noticeable changes such as the rise in the number of students studying Chinese and Spainish in the

year 2000. The other languages like Polish and Arab remain unpopular through out the time period.

The highest of the feature was in French with 400 students in 1995 and that number of students

steadily fall to only 350 in 2000 then leveled off there till 2005 when it drop again to 200 learners,

ended of on a slight increase in 2015. Contrary to French, Spainish begin with only 50 students, it

continue to maintain a balance untill the year 2000 where it’s popularity exploded reaching a peak of

325 pupils in 2015 becoming the most prefered languages. Like Spainish, Chinese also have a similar

graph, wasn’t choosen till 1995 but then rocketed off in 2000 to 225 undergraduate then steadily rise

to more than 250 students in 2015. The lowest number of students were in Polish which haven’t been

choosen till the year 2000 with 50 students and in Arabic in the same year with about 20 pupils.

German learners have stayed balance from 1990 to 2005 with around 250 students when there was a

small decline in 2010.
