Student’s will play beginning songs as a whole group, with teacher feedback.
Once student’s have had time to practice the first three songs collectively, the
students will be called into small groups to play for the teacher.
If feedback is needed the teacher will work with the small group, making
corrections and giving feedback as needed.
Once students have mastered a song by playing it for the instructor, their progress
will be marked on a chart.
Student’s will continue to work as a whole, and then be given time to play off songs
for the teacher. For those who require more 1:1 instruction, student’s will work in
small groups with the teacher, and for more advanced student’s they will be giving
more time to continue working on increasingly difficult material and demonstrating
their ability by playing off songs for the teacher.
Evaluation:
Student’s will be evaluated by performing selected songs for the teacher in small
groups and individually.
