Dear, Intermountain Medical Center. 

Recently I graduated from Utah State University's nursing program where I was given the
responsibility of several labor and delivery patients. I became interested in the labor and
delivery unit when I started my first round of clinical. Over the past few years, I have
also worked as a CNA floating between different units. However, I have primarily
worked in the labor and delivery unit because that is my preferred specialty. I have
provided support to registered labor and delivery nurses as a CNA and nursing student. 

Working at the Intermountain Healthcare labor and delivery clinic located in Murray
Utah has been a goal of mine since CNA School. I have had the privilege to know RNs
that have worked as labor and delivery nurses for years and they have inspired me. I
understand that at Intermountain Health care the top priority is the comfort and safety of
the patient. As a CNA and nursing student I was able to attain experience working with
patients having a difficult labor. The skills I have learned through nursing school and
CNA experience has taught me that the reaction time of the RN is critical when it comes
to the patient's health and safety. I recognize that at Intermountain Healthcare employees
will be expected to protect the lives of their patients using their skills and resources.
