Part 1:

- It depends. I will just stay at home if I have one or two day off. But on long holidays, I would
have a chance to go somewhere to explore new cultures and cuisines.
- Yes, generally, holidays have always played an important part in everyone’s lives, but I would
say, students, more typically. I have a feeling that students nowadays suffer from school stress
more often than students in the past. Therefore they really love holiday as it gives them time to
get away from work and relax.
- Oh I love going to anywhere that is exotic, has beautiful natural scenery but not crowded. Also I
would prefer beaches to mountains because they have a mild climate, and I enjoy the nightlife
activites there.
- I will definitely choose to go with a small group of friends. Travelling alove maybe a little bit
boring and risky to me. However, if I travel in a group, I will always have someone to share
experiences with, and get help quickly in case of emergency.

Part 2:

So it happened about 4 months ago, I was surfing Facebook and saw a new post from a friend. It was
called “get to know me better”, a trend at that time in which she informed about her favourites and
hobbies. I was flicking through it, and suddenly saw a pretty strange concept together with an image:
MBTI. I had no idea what it was, but the picture gave me a hint, it was kind of personality test stuff. To
some people, they would just ignore it, but to me, I would go find the definitions right away. I would say
I am curious about almost every new things, and searching random interesting things is one of my main
hobbies, so I feel like I was urged to find the answers at that time. I did not expect it to be so intriguing
that I just dug deep into it every day. According to what I’ve known from the Internet, Myers-Briggs Type
Indicator, or MBTI for short, a 4-letter personality categorizer. Each letter is taken from 4 categories,
including: the first pair, introversion or extroversition, represents how we interact with surrounding
environments, how we express ourselves; the second pair, whether the way we process and react to
information is based on intuition or 5 senses; next, the third, thinking or feeling, a decision-making trait;
and finally, the fourth pair, judging and prospecting, is like… if we feel like planning things every day or
not. After that we will have a four-letter result, such as ENTJ or ISFP. I definitely decided to take one
then …. I know I do not pay much attention to myself …. so I was pretty excited to try it for the first time.
I was pretty surprised that some facts were actually accurate to me. I loved spending time alone, and
was absent-minded, but I did not really care about that, until I knew this test. Some people say it has
poor reliability, and maybe yes, but personally it still intrigues me, and gets me out of boredom
everyday during the lockdown. I felt like the day-to-day online class were getting more and more
tedious, and when I found this, I was like..oh finally something interesting. There are certain reasons
why it’s so fascinating to me. First of all, I have understood more about myself, and I feel like I’m more
mature, and I have filled up a missing part of me. I believe having a deep understanding of myself is
crucial for self-development, as I can reflect on that, and change some bad habits I may not know I have.
Additionally, later I found out my best friend was also love MBTI, and I was very happy we had some fun
discussions on this. As you know, I have mentioned one of my hobbies before, and my second hobby is
discussing with my best friend. So yes…I had something to share with her besides just talking about what
happened that day or whether there was something unusual or special we saw.

Part 3:

- I think there are several reasons why people love social networks. The primary reason is to keep
in touch with their beloveds and relatives. This is obvious because the exact purpose of social
media is providing us with more convenient communication. Second, people use social media to
stay up-to-date with news and current events, as they also share information that catches their
attention with their friends. Finally, using social media helps find new inspirations, such as a
shop that sells beautiful stationeries for birthday gifts.
- Oh in my view, celebrities’ news own a common sight on social media, because they have fame
and great influence on many people. Furthermore, personally I frequently see posts about
students receiving rewards from large competitions or scholarships from famous universities
abroad. I’m not sure about this, but this could be well-known information, as a majority of social
media users are parents and students.
- Actually social media in general have both considerable benefits and drawbacks as well. In terms
of positive effects, through social media we build worldwide connection, and learn useful skills
and knowledge free from milllions of people. Additionally, it is interesting to join in communities
of people who share the same interests and passions with you on social networks. People,
especially youngsters, on the other hand, can easily be addicted to social media, which will
negatively impact their lives. Last but not least, it is possible for users to read hateful contents,
be cyberbullied or verbally assaulted.
