ABSTRACTION
INTO A THEME
● Modernism is a style of art
and architecture that is
most often associated with
the 20th century. It has
been characterized by a
rejection of traditional
styles in favor of new forms,
materials, and ideas.
• The most striking aspect about
modernist designs is that they are
meant to be functional but also
visually stimulating.
• Modern interior design is based on
the idea that form follows function.
As a result, the design is no longer
about emotions or aesthetics but
rather about functionality.
• Modern interior design is not just
about aesthetics. It is an important
element for how we live, work, and
interact with the world.
• Buildings are now being designed to
be more energy efficient with
natural lighting and heating systems
that use less power than traditional
HVAC systems.
