Lack of resources – Large-scale shortfalls in classrooms, teachers, and other tools to sustain
sound learning also make up a big issue. For this to improve as a teacher I need to escalate this
concern to my direct superior and he will make a report on this so that the high ops will be able
to address this. Another way to solve this is to seek the attention of our partners in education
such as LGU and other stake holders.

Social divide – There is no fair learning access in the country. In the world of modern era, as a
teacher I can always download materials online and mass produce it for my learners who are
struggling due to poverty. The higher class maybe have an edge in acquiring resources but I
know with the proper mind and heart I can make a change that will make the poor an
empowered learner.

Mismatch – There is a large sum of people who are jobless or underpaid due to a large
mismatch between training and actual jobs. I can address this by talking to students and guiding
them on what would be the best for them that is in line with what they want. Making them pick
a future job based from what they want and making them understand that when they do it, they
will be like playing while enjoying their job.

Cost – There still is a big contrast in learning efforts across various social groups due to the issue
of money—having education as a status symbol. Doing extra mile for learners is the only thing
that I think I should do. Helping them look for available option to continue studying would be
beneficial for them. Tapping people who can be their sponsor for education would be a
wonderful thing.
Budget – The country remains to have one of the lowest budget allotments to learning among
ASEAN countries. Let’s not dwell on the problem, instead we need to look for solution and the
way to start it is to voice out the real issue that the Department of Education should prioritize.
Social media is a good platform to inform them what they need to do. Nothing will change if we
will not do something.

Quality – There had been a drop in the status of primary and secondary education. What I am
currently doing is addressing it by exposing my student to international type of activities and
exams for them to be prepared again if their will be another PISA 2018. Using different
strategies and techniques will somehow make them ready for the world that they will be facing.

2. In our present curriculum, do you think it was developed, planned and organized very well?
State your insights about it by giving concrete examples of your claim.

I hope my honesty will not put me in a bad light, I think NO, because when I came to this school
the current subject that I am handling are disorganized. I am the one who needs to look for
materials, sources, even book, the bottom line is I started from scratch after receiving what I will
be teaching. I need to download first the curriculum guide, make my own curriculum plan,
curriculum map, curriculum package, and more.
