“STATEMENT OF PROBLEM”
Pakistan is an attractive country for cultivation of olives due to its suitable
climate conditions, quality soil and ecological diversity. Around 10 Million acres have already been identified for growing olive in the country including areas of Peshawar, Mardan, Sawabi of KPK, however, there are several challenges associated with the cultivation of olive in the above mentioned districts of KPK i,e Lack of Awareness, Lack of Research, Limited Market Access, Water Scarcity and Pests / Diseases.
